Byakko... HM or EX ?

Yeah it's too easy.
And the fight is boring.

The Stormblood primals have nothing compared to the previous expacs if I am honest.
The thing that got me about Byakko is if you can do it on normal/story mode - you pretty much know what is going to happen in Ex. There aren't many differences at all - and the difficulty is actually not that much higher.

But like I said, the fight is so boring. It's arguably harder than Susano, but not much (if at all), and infinitely more boring than Susano.

Good for you dude. Parties are being strict about it so I can't even join groups to try to down it yet because it's 340, and I'm only 334 (Partially because I don't like dropping gil bombs on stuff that will be replaced in about a week or so

I dont understand complaining about groups that lock it to 340, that's the recommended ilvl. And you didn't buy/upgrade tome gear, so I dont really understand the "good for you" attitude. It's undeniable that Byakko ex is considerably easier than Shinyru ex and fairly easy to learn if you can clear it in just 1 instance before running the timer out.

the "good for you" seems to me to imply OP is lucky, or gifted with superior skill, but the reality is Byakko took 1 day to learn for most people that farm Ex primals (and dip their toes into Savage), so it didn't feel really hard. Shinryu took a considerable amount of time for a lot of people to learn and felt like an achievement to clear, for comparison.

No, I'd argue they are on the same level of difficulty. I can concede that Shinryu slightly towers over O5S, but it took my static not longer than 1 hour of progression to kill Shinryu EX. We cleared O2S in around 1.5. Purely from my point of view, of course.

Yoshi-P stated that the Deltascape was intentionally tuned to be easier because people were still learning their lv70 rotations and what not. He also encouraged groups struggling with v3s to try Shinryu, which I think that sort of implies where they expected the difficulty to be - in between 2 and 3.

Byakko is a joke fight. I cleared it in 3-4 pulls blind but I do love the aesthetics of the fight because it reminds me of NiER with all the dodging going on.
