Why no new healing potions or ethers?

Seriously. We haven't had any new healing potions or ethers since HW. HQ max pots worked okay when my tank had 30k hp, but now at 55k, the 2400 it restores just doesn't cut it any more.
Ethers are even worse - HQ max-ethers are a paltry 1700 mana. Sure, it's better than nothing, but not by much.
It is LONG past time we got some updates to our resource meds, SE!

Hmm tbh i rarely use those pots cas they take up unessisery space when we have regens and mana regen skills mostly cas like you said as they are now there benaifet is miniscule at best making them more useful would be nice so they are a viable option to use but yea im sure they would have to make alterations to keep the balance

For a last ditch effort to stay alive once depleted all off your self healing abilities and still not enough after party wide damage, yes!

Pots can be used in PvP frontline modes aswell. Atm 2400 equal to 5-7% of max hp of all classes in pvp. If they introduce new pots they would have to probably restrict them for PvP. Another issue may be that potd solo could be nerfed by that too, they would need a restriction that allows only lvl61-70 characters to use them. Another issue will be the cooldown, they seem to rise with better, higher tiers,but even longer cooldowns than now are not really welcome.

I still use Max Ethers for extra mp just in the rare case I'm running low on mana, want to get in one more FLAREEEEE, or if I'm rdm and I have to save the party with multi Verraises (which at lvl 70 cost 3600MP each) if the healers are dead, etc. Those pots are still VERY useful. The cooldown timer for them is stupid but they are still very nice to have around.

They were pretty useful in Palace of the Death. But outside that, I don't see use for potions. However, for Ether, they have use ,specially when I use 5 Flares with the BLM. I need a ether for the 5th one.
