I had nothing but good experiences with random people. Of course there is always the chance of running into a bad encounter, but that's DF for you. I don't have time to wait for my friends to be on to do everything. I'm a big girl :P I can handle strangers, I'm sure others can too!

Same here, but I used the /disappointed emote whenever I got paired with a guy.

I would very much prefer to be paired with girls, or at least be given the option for that.

I also have no friends but I had no problems with the people I met. I thought this was a nice event and I did it three times on both my characters which got me everything offered and two balloons. After seeing the size of these balloons I could have done with just one, they are very big.

I bought a balloon and saw "tabletop" and expected a small decoration. Took it home and .. woah.. So I got a 2nd wheelbarrow instead of another balloon.

or you could... I dont know, communicate with the other person. strangers are friends you havent met. Ive gotten high ranks in this from just talking to the other person and guiding them through the maze then talking through the card matching game.

I loved it! I solo queued and was surprised to find a friend of a friend who recognized me and we had a cool chat while running the thing!

Event maze is pretty fun and for card part just use piece paper and mark the cards after you see what picture they are. Done this event 6 times with random players and enjoyed each run of it. So far 4 out of 6 times got highest score.
