Pretty lousy minigame. Only 4 tries? Vague hints and even more vague rules? It's a pain to fumble around with this game's gear/inventory system enough as it is. Also I don't think it's possible to get to 90 without shelling out millions of gil? And who the heck knows how to get to 100. Even though I only had 4 times to attempt this game (why not 5...?) I still ended up with a bunch of ugly glamour odds and ends in my inventory.

However, I wasn't exactly expecting anything they add to the Gold Saucer to NOT be utter garbage lmao.

Then don't do it if you hate it so much, it's completely optional.

The hints are... well hints, they are supposed to be vague, or were you expecting it to be handed to you on a silver platter? As for the rules themselves, they walk you through them pretty clearly in the opening quest, I'm not sure what about them confused you. I'm sure people here would be happy to help clarify them for you if you just asked. And your 'millions of gil' comment was wildly exaggerated. I spent about 20k in mats total and got an 82 (why are you shooting for 90 anyway?) No idea how to get 100, but from what I've seen it's entirely unnecessary as everything over 80 wins.

On any real server the dyes, hannish/falconer top, dress material/skirt are worth millions alone. Not to mention the seasonal gear that can get gold medals. Why am I shooting for 90? Why shoot for 100? Why try to get the highest score possible?? What are achievements and titles? Listen to yourself...

And the rules aren't "confusing", I said they're vague. It's unclear about the impact of dyes, rarity, quality, etc. Why do some dyes award more points then others? Does having a dyed weapon help? Does high quality matter? Once again, with such limited attempts, it's less about experimenting with fashion as opposed to solving an incredibly specific puzzle with only 4 allowances that seems impossible to get a grade of 100.

But hurr durr it's all optional. Everything in the game is optional, it's a friggin' game.

-completely farm-able if you don't want to spend gil on mats. And I got gold scores using the crafted soot black, honey yellow, and snow white dyes which are worlds away from costing millions on any server, 'real' or not, lol. If there are achievements for higher scores, I'm wasn't aware of them. I just wanted to win for the MGP and other prizes. You are limited in attempts, but it plainly states this is meant to be a group project for the community, people are intended to pool their efforts and work together to figure things out, which ends up giving us many more chances than the 4 each player is allocated.
