Is SE insane???? No way am i going to ever do a dungeon that could potential take over a hour to complete no matter how much they adjust the reward when you only have a couple of hours playtime no-one is going to spend half of it on that!!!

some people don't even want to see the cut scenes or prefer to skip them anyways. But now every new player will be forced to watch them, that's not right. This is not the answer

It's not really that bad just leave t hem behind -.- most old content can be cleared with 4 people anyways.

Delete the roulette, and make the 2 instances a condensed solo instance.

yea i have ended up soloing a couple times as war i doubt i could do that on other jobs tho. I dont think this is gonna be in place very long. Back in the day i woulda skipped the cs regardless now new players who dont have time/dont care about story are gonna be forced to watch it? thats nuts

Assuming no one watches cut-scenes is what started this in the first place...because [new] players ARE watching cut-scenes... SE doesn't just randomly make these changes based on your fishbowl opinion.

Then dont.Nobody is forcing you to do story roulette.
Plenty of people will still help regardless of how many boycott threads people make on forums.
And realistically if its become such an issue they needed the change then it implies there is a lot more new players joining.If thats the case many will be able to team up with each otherin pf and do it just like we did when it was relevant to us.

Most of my Main Scenario roulette runs do not have a single person. Ironically enough, we kind of enjoyed some chats about patches, story, gameplay, etc., during the cutscenes. In some other instances, I also check on my FC chat, linkshells, Discord, and other FFXIV forums.

As far as time spent on runs go, Castrum Meridianum isn't a problem in terms of time spent. It's still less than 30 minutes on average with a good group (faster than the most of my average Skalla runs.) Praetorium can be too long for repeated plays though.

YMMV on the return of poetic tomes and exp earned. The exp is satisfactory for me and I use poetic tomes for Shire Accessories to turn in to GC. I can get ventures, GC mats, food (for extra EXP and secondary stats), and various other items without breaking the bank (in this case, gil.)
