I think the gobbue mount is pretty sweet. I like it. I do have one complaint though...I logged on and got my mount in about 1 minute...and I just logged off and probably won't be back till 1.21.

Woulda been nice if I could go in search of and tame my own gobbue, you know? Or at least go ins earch of a mysterious tamer and duel him and his band of gobbues and once you defeat him he teaches you his methods. Something like that coulda been pretty easily done I think but the mount is still pretty cool I'm happy I have it, and I'll be a lot happier that I have it once 2.0 comes out.

then people woulda QQ'd that they spent too much time developing the content. esp since its limited time.

and you have my axe to defend this cause goobues mounts are funny as hell my ONLY complaint is they dont run herp derpy like it does in the Uldah starting cutscene i so wish it did

Agreed. There was not supposed to be content attached to this. It was announced a long time ago when someone asked if they could get a gift showing that they payed to play before 2.0 and thats all this is, a GIFT. If you dont like it then dont get it. If you cant tolerate seeing them ride around your game then i think you have bigger problems in your head.

I think I am the only person in my ls who thinks the goobbue mount is hilarious. Ppl wanna moan and complain about everything but I think this little treat the devs gave us is fantastic and hilarious. There is no reason to nerd rage so hard on the goobbue mount. Its just a piece of fun the devs threw our way. But I guess when it comes to gaming for a dev its damned if you do damned if you dont.

I laughed so much harder than I probably should have at the bolded area. But I'm with the OP, sometimes I worry deeply about this game's community with all these people who get their panties bunched up so easily.

My personal observation though: when the patch went live what I didn't see was a bunch of people pouting with their arms folded in Ul'dah. What I did see is a hilarious number of goobbues rampaging in every direction is massive clumps. So I think all the "haters" are just ashamed that deep down they were just as excited as everyone else at the goobbues :P
