Hopefully the delay isn't too long. I really would like to play with a larger population so I can scout out more LS members and have more pickup players to do stuff with.

I doubt there will be any other players stupid enough to name their character Brucey Bangbang. So, I assume it's all of you even more idiotic players with Xxsephiroth Cloudxx as your name that they have to make sure isn't screwed up.
sweet! Hopefully it comes soon![]()
Thanks for the info Bayohne, here's hoping it doesn't take long.
Its kind of a double edged sword isnt' it? On one side, I like that I am from a small server, everyone pretty much knows everyone ^^, which I really like. On the other side, it does get kinda lonely from time to time or difficult when trying to put together a coffer run or something ;; I look forward to the merge, and hope it means bigger and better things for us!
Glad someone brought this up - I was looking around about this a few days ago. When I saw the OP's server I was like what's Saronia... I didn't even remember seeing it on the server list when I thought about what server I was going to pick, but then I scrolled down the thread and saw more people from it posting. I've noticed most posts about this have been from lesser populated servers. Then I realized no one from my server has posted on this yet, and then it dawned on me - I've never seen anyone from my server post in English General Discussion (and my world forum has been dead since I've starting playing).
Palamecia sits around 140-220 players on average (dismal). Aside from being able to join a good Linkshell, I don't know what I was thinking. At the server select screen, it was right in the middle (population wise) with 2 Chocobos. I can only imagine the situation in servers that were lower than that (about half). I generally don't see a soul besides 30 or so in Ul'dah and about the same in and around Broken Water. I've had to solo throughout my entire experience (aside from some help provided by my LS) and items in the Market Wards could probably be a whole lot more numerous. It really didn't help matters that they released a mount the day after I walked around and grinded the repetitive GC quests for my Chocobo. Also, it was incredibly difficult (and awkward) trying to get an active LS, and up until actually getting one I almost quit entirely. Finally, because the community is so multi-language in nature, that makes the situation so much more dire. If I didn't enjoy the actual game so much, obviously I would of stopped playing a while ago.
So point is, something's got to be done about this. I know it's being looked into, but SE's focusing on 2.0 and its release. For the time being, half the servers are obsolete and it's really hurting the current player-base. This is supposed to be a 'massively' multiplayer online experience. I couldn't imagine leveling a second Disciples of War / Magic class now, and it really bothers me that I feel forced to stick with one thing and grind 50ish (by myself) just so I can play end game content with the few people on my server.
SE: Help. =X
I do believe I helped suggest the Excalibur server name! http://forum.square-enix.com

If I were yoou Bulwarkz, I would just reroll on a more populated server. Judging by your signature, you really don't have alot invested ( no offense). Its out of the question for me at this point, I have all jobs @ 50 and 2 crafts @ 50 and various others 20 and above.;;
make a THIRD name
Premium Virtue Awesomeness

Could you imagine the amount of Leonheart/Lionhearts on one server after merges?
