Do it like FFXI >.> It will take too long and too complicated if they got to go through who was active first or who has more achievements and stuff ; ; But meh regardless they will do it how they gonna do it..no matter what we say.

Besides..we should all get to change our name in 2.0 no? Race/gender change without name change would make 0 sense as I seen someone post on here before there last name was "Chick" lol wouldn't work too well...

Given the creative name you gave your toon I can see why names mean little to you.

Having suffered TWO XI forced transfers I don't want to have one inflicted on me here, and if they do mergers the Surname feature is a big mitigation against forced name changes so it would be asinine for SE to drop surnames.

Hey...don't hate on Sucker Punch =P It was my choice at the time...I have/had a lot of stalkers (dont really want to get into it that much) but I don't care anymore..I want my original name back ;~;

I really hope they take into account not only duplicate character names, but also retainer names and linkshells.

It's going to be hellish if this merge isn't a forced one. I have several friends in my LS that are also members of other LSs. I'm definately going to lose more than a handful of friends due to multiple shells going to different servers if they are allowed to choose their server.
