That is not how one comes up with quality resolutions to issues though. You cannot simply list each problem on a piece of paper, write a solution for each, and execute them. Though both solution do solve their respective problems in theory, if appied at the same time as is in game, they work against each other.

OK, I figured you'd read between the lines. These are temporary solutions to a great problem that has been festering for years. They are approaching it as safely, securely and most PC and PR friendly possible.

They are not effective in any degree, but they can't afford to do anything drastic because they will get pitchforks from a number of people in a player base who's on the wrong end of that action.

honestly I like the idea of only allowing FCs to buy houses at the moment, but I feel that should end next week when wards open up. They already have certain houses marked for FC only use (probably the large houses) so why not open up public purchases with new wards?

I don't think there is any official information for that yet? For all I know all personal (relocation) and FC peeps gonna fight head to head in a bloody war to upgrade houses next week.

On Tonberry, several meds and smalls opened up for relocation, but I've seen FCs decided not to take them since 4.2 wards are coming. Instead they are snatched up by individuals.

It's a good thing they are limiting house supply to prioritize FCs, FCs already have to compete with individuals who seeks better relocation spots.

Of course, there will be small houses left. This 4.2 patch never aimed to cater for the ease of upgrade (to M/L size), but to ensure majority of the FCs can access small houses in order to take part in the FC-only contents (airship etc).

Yes and no. We can still relocate which i think is nice. That means we can still upgrade or move to a more desirable plot.

When you approach a problem eventually you have to completely solve the issue or it never goes away, this means dealing with all the branch off problems. In this situation multi home owners are a major issue and while many did not maliciously work the system they are still an issue that eventually has to be dealt with. I have no idea what SE has in mind but to solve the issue but, until everyone is be bound and follows the same rules that means everyone looses. A duck is a duck whether it wants to be one or not. All that being said I do whole heatedly agree with you on the instanced housing idea it would solve 99%? of the housing issues if done right.

I have a medium house already and I am there most of the time with a couple of other friends crafting, talking, changing and adding things, etc. I feel for the people that have been trying to get a house and should not be blocked for a week+. They should have the same choice to fight for a small, med or large house as the FCs (many of which have barely any members). The whole think makes me angry.

Frankly, have half a mind to make and raise an FC just to bypass this trash. But at that point, why bother? Might as well keep crafting and piling up the gil instead of buying into this.

I don't like it either - I have a lot of friends that have been patiently waiting for a plot to become available for a long time. But I can see why they did it I guess.

The restriction of one private and one FC house is listed under "temporary restrictions" on the lodestone side. Why would you disposses someone for a temporary change?

Furthermore you state your own opinions as a fact. Do you have any actual numbers why multiplot owners are such a problem in your point of view?

It's discriminating against single players, only the idiotic or naive imagine that there will be any plots left for more than a few minutes even on the most deserted server. Getting a house would be the thing that kept me logging into the game between patches, preparing for it has been all that has been keeping me playing the game for the last six months with nothing much to do. I'm livid that they have done this, I don't denigrate or deride any player who did what the system implemented by the developers allowed them to, that's got nothing to do with the problem anyway. WHY is SE always so pedantic and unresponsive to this issue? WHY IS IT STILL PART OF THE ADVERTISED PRODUCT TOO???? You can't have one unless you pervert the system, and as a single player apparently your sub is welcome just not respected.
