    Problem with lunch the game

    Good afternoon,

    I have a problem since the patch 4.2 lunch.

    I play on PC with MSI GTX1060 6g, driver 390.65;
    I'm connected wi-fi with my router that use a 4G;
    Using dx11 is happening on the loading screen after the character selection;
    Using dx9 is much more stable but is still crashing after few hours;
    In trying to solve the issue I've done the following:
    Wiped and reinstalled the graphic driver;
    Wiped and reinstalled Visual C++;
    Refreshed dx9 and dx11;
    Downloaded again the whole Stormblood expansion.

    The most strange thing is using dx11 I can't log in on my Ragnarok character but I can log in on Moogle server.

    The errors using dx11 are the following.

    Kind regards,
    Reverie

    Hello Reveriekun, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    I would like to suggest disabling any programs in the background while you are playing the game as well as overlays (again, even if your computer should be able to handle it).

    Hope to be of assistance.

    Hello, regrettably it didn't help, most of my errors are related to a specific dll

    nvwgf2umx.dll

    I've downloaded a fresh new game yesterday, my NVIDIA driver is up to date, I tried to use lowest settings possible, no overlays and without the windower feature of the game.

    The issue started with the 4.2 update, nothing has been changed in my system before and after.

    DX11 is unstable, DX9 game is slightly more stable. Most of the crashes with DX11 come after a teleport in the Stormblood area. Heavenswrod area and A Real Rebord area seems less glitchy.

    Even if before I couldn't even log in to my character, the crash happened in the loading screen, with random dll as error message and numerous memory codes related to them.

    Thank you for the update Reveriekun.

    To further assist with this issue, we will require a DXdiag report. To make one, please press Windows + R and the ‘Run’ command will come up. Type ‘dxdiag’ and hit OK. The DXdiag window will come up. Here, click “Save all information” and save it to a TXT file. Copy all of that information and post it to this thread.

    In addition to that, Are you running the game in fullscreen? If so, does borderless windowed or windowed make any difference?

    We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
