I got enough sintered early on, but selling that finished furnishing is impossible.

furnishings are really subjective/hit or miss imo. it all comes down to personal taste and to be honest the crystallized coral is more a "trophy" style looking piece than what could fit into someone's idea/theme for a home. you don't really see people gushing over how it looks either so there's that.
Is there a minimum surveillance stat for the cocobolo lumbers? I've had 4 subs out since they came out and only gotten it once, before I upgraded all my subs.
Getting TONS of meerkats though, at least 2 per week.
Minimum surveillance needed was 150 in the initial zones if I remember correctly. You've definitely got enough Surveillance if you're getting Meerkats.
Try switching out parts to lower your Surveillance to 165. That will reduce competing loot options in the higher sectors so you're more likely to get Cocobolo back.
You could also send your subs to South Isle/Wreckage/Sea of Ash 1. You'll still be competing against the full loot tables but the distance is shorter so you can make more frequent trips.
A final option would be to check with other FCs and see if they have any extra. The Sub Discord has a trading section by data center.
I'm considering purchasing one for my house since I want to convert the basement into a 'museum'. I'll have to check what the price of it is first though.furnishings are really subjective/hit or miss imo. it all comes down to personal taste and to be honest the crystallized coral is more a "trophy" style looking piece than what could fit into someone's idea/theme for a home. you don't really see people gushing over how it looks either so there's that.
When traveling from the mystic basin(completed), and (between) changing course to Cobalt shoals 'Concealed Bay' was discovered. (Before Cobalt Shoals was reached)
I am having extreme difficulty getting the Sea of Ash 3 voyages to discover the new areas.
Sending two subs.
Sub 1:
Surveillance: 180
Retrieval: 80
Speed: 85
Range: 40
Favor: 80
Sub 2:
Surveillance: 115
Retrieval: 35
Speed: 75
Range: 115
Favor: 80
So any advice for me?
It's all RNG. Keep sending your subs there until they're finally discovered.
I remember seeing a comment that retrieval might be more important than surveillance in unlocking new sectors but I don't know if there was ever any confirmation. If true, you may want to swap parts on your Sub 2.
Unfortunately, it would seem Pepper's FFXIV Ship Guide 5.2 is no more. Can anyone else confirm this?
