I'm continuing to gather data on this and can't see any relationship so far between sub condition or sub stats on how often CSCFIFFE pops up. For anyone who'd like to look at the raw data, the link again is here.

As for crystal boules, my CUYC subs had no trouble getting them (you can see that on another page of the linked Google sheet) so I think CUUC and CUSC should be fine as well, though I haven't tested them directly. It did look like blue crystals were significantly harder to get than green ones, unless RNG was just playing games with me.
