Has anyone had problems with finding the otter recently? I have a CUSyC build and it usually got an otter or two each week, but the last 6-8 weeks I haven't gotten anything but glass lenses and tempered glass. :|

We only have one ship running with that build. Not a single otter thus far, though I haven't been checking as much as I should. Gets a bit discouraging to hype up "This is the build to get us otters!" and feel like you're letting down the fc after weeks of getting trash (months at this point).

Looking at my pre and post 5.0 data I seem to be getting the same amount over time from that build. I have gotten significantly less from another build though. I think it is just RNG.

Edit: the same amount means 2 or so a month on 4 ships. If you were getting 1-2 a week RNG was on your side.

Wonder what this whole bonus stat thing will entail for subs

I'm wondering if the possible dip in otter retrieval has something to do with this? Maybe they put the cart before the horse and adjusted things in favor of whatever these bonuses are, but without the bonuses in play it lowers our chances at certain items? Tinfoil hat time!

Collectively, the chance of finding an otter on any given trip is somewhere in the realm of 4%. It's been a dry spell with my 8 subs as well, but I want to hold off until I've had more trips under my belt in the new expansion before I become suspicious.

Edit: That being said, I'll post here if I get an otter to drop.

I've had four ships farming the otter for a while, I got 5 or 6 in the week or two leading up to early access, and zero since. RNG at its best.

I haven't luck for Kamacite Ore yet. Is it so rare? Do i have to build my submarines on a specific stat to get an higher chance?
