In my opinion, the CUSyC submarine is the best general-purpose submarine for rare-item collecting. It has 155 surveillance (minimum required for finding those blue/green boules) and 140 favor (enough to get up to 2 attempts per sector for every sector). The speed is respectable at 75. The retrieval is kinda low, so it's not great at hauling back the kamacite ore, but if you're after the boules, plundered treasures, salvaged coin, undersea spoils, colossus slabs, marine wax esters, and abroader otters (though for otters only, you should be CUUC), the CUSyC is the sub for you.

I'm inclined to agree with this sentiment. Testing this fit out compared to the CCSyC fit yields results that are a bit more advantageous with regards to common farming routes. Considering the extra range that CUSyC gains and the inclusion of the extra Surveillance to acquire the two new Boules, I'll be refitting my own ships to this setup.

What kind of materia returns are people seeing from "Sector 28 (AB)The Rimilala Trench Bottom" in terms of stack size and amounts?

If it's only like 2 per mission, it's really not worth it.

Those VI Materia are considered rare. You only tend to get larger quantities of previous expansion materia.

command VI, guerdon VI, are these the only two crafting and gathering materia you can get from all the sub locations, what about the other 4 types of them? Im looking at the infograph on the first page, just a little disappointed now that i have all my subs built :/

Usually the implication is that the rest of the crafter and gatherer materia drop there too. Those just happen to be the ones that the sector was confirmed with.

two questions:

-Three of my subs are CSSS, the fourth is CUSC, the main difference is (looking side by side) 100 retrieval vs 40, speed difference is slight which i dont care about, and slight favor. Is it worth it up upgrade the last one into full CSSS?
-With the CSSS, is it worth doing the upgraded parts into the modified form? I dont remember the names but im sure you know what im talking about, the stat differences are barely negligible. They came out last patch, the housing item guy trades them or whatever in addition to the FC workshop thingy.

Is your S supposed to be Shark or Syldra.

Most people are using the abbreviations Sh for shark, and Y for Syldra.

They are adding new zones, level cap 5 higher, and new items. I know its likely inevitable but i hope they dont add new sub parts. It would be a pain to upgrade all the CSSS ships that i built solo -.-
