Hi, hoping you guys can help me. Please delete if this isn't the right place for questions. I've been trying to get the Colossus Slab for a while now but no go. Then found out I probably didn't have enough Surveillance for the rare stuff. Does anyone know the minimum needed for previous patch rare items? I heard 120?

Until 4.4, I believe 115 was the highest surveillance possible, and I obtained several slabs over a month or two of sending out my main two subs, which had 110 and 115 surv (U/U/U/S and all Unkiu, respectively).

Prior to 4.4 the highest surveilance stat was U/U/U/U at 115, as to the minimum opinions vary - some will tell you 80, personally I never saw a rare <100. I ran an U/U/S/U at 105 surv up to 4.4, rare drop rate was about 6% less than 115 by my reckoning.

The new highest Surv build is C/U/C/C at 175.

Can also opt for Whale Stern over Unkiu for same surv; it's slow, but it has a bit more range and a little more retrieval. Makes for a great looking submarine to boot!

Has anyone seen evidence that maxing out Surveillance increases the chance of a rare drop? Or is it an on/off thing where you get a flat chance as long as you clear the minimum threshold?

Also anyone have good builds given the answer to the above?
