prob won't get there at all or they'll wait for another patch to raise the level cap to 50 like airships and then add the new locations.
Agreed, especially with that side of the map being mostly dark, deep waters. It'll take max, max Range to get to the bottom of it, hell, it'll probably be like the trench where Shisui of the redundant name is.
Yes, I would really love to know what got moved. I've been working on updating the wiki and it's really frustrating not knowing if I should remove any of the items we've already got listed. Like how someone got a Faded Copy of Ambient Abyss from Kanayama, does that mean it's no longer at The Mystic Basin? I hate being sent on wild goose chases or sending others on them.
I've been dealing with something similar in trying to get the last couple of Iron Giant Scrap needed for the Iron Dwarf minion, but 3 months of to high geared Lvl 70 DoW retainers going out daily hasn't found a single one, which leaves me wondering if the same wasn't done with the Venture items/locations (though, happily and annoyingly, I got one from a Quick Exploration yesterday).
Maybe we could request they update the airship/sub UI to something akin to fishing where available items for a sector are uncovered once the subs/ships bring them back. That way if they remove items from a sector it's clear, but there's still the ability to discover items. I kind of like how the community gets together to map out the discoveries, but it makes a mess of things when the sectors get changed. No one wants to waste a bunch of time sending subs out to old sectors that were worthless just to see if they're not worthless anymore, especially when it could take weeks battling rng if there's a rare drop that got added. Worse if it's a rare item that got removed and you don't know if it got removed or just bad rng.Yes, I would really love to know what got moved. It would be useful, but I imagine they don’t provide that info for retainers or airships because of the “fun of discovery” or something. So I don’t think they would do it.Maybe we could request they update the airship/sub UI to something akin to fishing where available items for a sector are uncovered once the subs/ships bring them back. Retainers I can see them not doing this. However, they put some very specific items in the Airships/Subs. I don't see why they wouldn't do it like they would do with Fishing Logs.

I don’t know, airships and subs work nearly identically to retainers.
Airships/subs are passive. You gear up your ship/retainer and send them, and wait for them to come back. They do stuff while you are out playing the game.
Fishing is active play. You are actually in front of the screen using up your play time pushing buttons.
There are many items that are only available from certain retainer ventures (fat cat, ghsthalt, and other minions, some crafting mats / glamour items). The same way certain items are only available from ships.
In addition the devs like to adjust the rewards for both retainer ventures and airships/subs based on a perceived need for certain items in the game. I am pretty sure they have a lot of data about how much of what items are in the world and they adjust the loot tables for these based on perceived need of these items. It’s probably why the new zones are returning stuff like gold ingots/platinum ( needed for newer housing glamours like the castle), hardsilver ore (for colecanth ship parts), etc.
Not having published loot tables / list of items also gives them the freedom to change rewards later as described above. This kind of flexibility is nice for devs to have so they address the market in a simple way.
One other benefit of not having a list is it helps the game to be more social and collaborative. Something SE likes to push for seeing as mmos are a social game. And it works pretty well. Just look at this 45 page, and growing, thread.
Don’t get me wrong. I’d love an in game list of things that come from each zone that could be discovered/unlocked like a fishing list. It would be useful to have, but I just don’t see them going for it.
