The Surveillance build is the ship that you use to discover new areas. It maxes the surveillance, favor, and speed stats in that order of importance. Currently, the best parts to secure this build is a complete Unkui submarine. That is to say, Unkui bow, bridge, hull, and stern. In order to have enough build points to equip all of these pieces, your sub must be at least level 17

The "RNG is fun" side of this left my Unkui sub failing to discover Deep-sea Site 4 after many attempts. But what happens when I send my third sub out, completely geared in Shark parts while still leveling? That's what RNG decided to have find it.

For those who got the marine wax from Wreckage, what parts were you running on your sub?

I think my sub that retrieved it is:
Unkiu Hull
Whale Stern
Unkiu Bow
Whale Bridge

My other sub that is high enough level is still full Unkiu, but I don't think it came from that one as it was trying to unlock Deep-sea Site 4 at the time.

I've been seeing a few asks about the best builds to make. Since I've done the calculations for myself, I figured that I'd share what I have.

I based my calculations on how the airship stats were set up for end-game and came up with two significant builds that I have decided to call Surveillance and Retrieval.

Hi just wanted to point out that your ship pieces are miss-labeled. I checked the stat values and they are incorrect for the listed parts. If you want to make it correct, switch the place of stern and bridge.

It was confusing for me, but your numbers are correct, only the label is wrong. So I hope you don't remake your whole spreadsheet. :P

Ah, you're right. I do seem to have swapped the two part's stats. Thanks for the catch! An easy fix on the spreadsheet, though a more tedious fix when it comes to my calculations. XP

Edit: Turns out it was an easy fix. Also fixed the images for the builds on the original posts in case anyone is using them or uses them in the future.
