I tried searching for this info but couldn’t find anything from after 5.0. What are the best parts for subs these days?

depends on what you are going for in what sectors. there is no one true "BIS" submarine build.
do you want to bring back a lot of items from sectors? have high retrieval.
do you want to bring back rare items from sectors? have high surveillance.
do you want your subs to come back faster? have higher speed.
do you want to visit a lot of zones in one trip? have higher range.
do you want the chance of hitting up a zone twice in one go? have high favor.
each zone has specific breakpoints for each rating. do the research and then use the sub builder tool to figure out the build that works for what you want to accomplish.
Going to crosspost some info here for submariners that only frequent the Official Forum:
Current Max Surveillance Needed: 195
Current Max Favor Needed: 185
1. Slow Double Dipper - C+U+Y(+)Y+Code:#Hull #Stern #Bow #Bridge Surv. Retr. Speed Range Favor Cost 1. [ C+ U+ Y+ Y+ ] 195 90 70 178 185 80 / 80 2. [ C+ U+ Y+ C+ ] 195 90 110 138 180 80 / 80 3. [ C U C C ] 205 60 100 118 120 51 / 80
The only fit that can double dip current end-tier sectors. Packs enough Surveillance to find any item in current maps. Fire and forget for 4 day trips.
Y Bow upgrade is optional but recommended for 5 more speed.
Items Specialized
Plum Paper Parasol, Hard to Miss Orchestrion Roll, Gemseeker's Pack
Sea of Jade Route
Code:H > G > F > D | 3d 20h 6m H > G > F | 3d 8h 32m
2. Generalist - C+U+Y(+)C+
Double dips all except the last three end-tier sectors. Packs enough Surveillance to find any item in current maps. Has a bit more speed for faster returns and the use of Diskz's Calculator is recommended for your own routes.
Y Bow upgrade is optional but recommended for 5 more speed.
Items Specialized
Silver Dasher, Meerkat, Aurelia Polyp, Colossus Slab, Abroader Otter
Sea of Jade Route
Code:H > G > F | 2d 4h 30 G > F | 1d 17h 8m A > D > E | 2d 1h 16m C > E > D | 2d 1h 11m E > D | 1d 15h 49m
3. No Modified - CUCC
You're not going to be double dipping, but at least you'll be able to find any item in current maps on the cheap. Low on range but hits two sectors in roughly two days. Use Diskz's Calculator for your own routes.
Upgrading to one of the above fits is recommended.
Sea of Jade Route
Code:G > F | 1d 20h 3m D > F | 1d 17h 23m G > H | 1d 16h 56m
For more info on what the destinations mean, please see the current map for the letter markings as posted in the OP of this thread:

I've been curious enough to look it up and Rogo-Tumu-Here and Tangaroa are mythical creatures in Polynesia.
I also want to thank everyone for all this sub info. I would be imposible for me otherwise...
Silver Dasher available from Rogo-Tumu-Here's Haunt and Aurelia Polyp from Sea of Jade 1
Maybe I'm missing something blatantly obvious here but what does the "Y" stand for in your submersible builds? C is coelacanth, U is unkiu, but Y? I'm at a total loss.
New destinations and sub levels coming soon!
Time for a bump.
Presumably the new Syldra-class sub minion is from one of the new spots, so get subbin!
The Blind Sound (75):
- unlocked from Tangaroa's Prow
