favor has nothing to do with getting meerkat. favor is the chance of getting a second hit on a sector. if you don't have the required surveillance to get meerkat it won't matter how much favor you have.

Instantly, huh? Either you're insanely lucky or have an insane amount of subs. I'm over 100 trips in and haven't seen a single one, and that seems to be the general going rate for this thing.

32 submarines, got 3 of them when they came back today. The rest was all worthless junk.

I've done about 32 trips to Central Rimilala Trench and I cannot get it to unlock the Wreckage or Deep Sea 7 . I'm at a stand still until I can get an unlock.

That is still some damn fine luck, even with 32 subs. Like incredibly good luck there, High Roller. There's a post a few pages back mentioning 554 trips and only 1 meerkat in the bunch, to give you an idea of how rare this thing is.
