Dyes are likely unnecessary.

Decided to test some other options out on my alt:

All the same items other people have mentioned, only the pants are the "Expeditioner's Pantalettes". I assume the none dyable version works just the same.
Not sure what dye would work better, I might use up my remaining attempts on my toons to see what works best for people to try to squeak in the highest score they can with just dyes alone.

EDIT:

Toadskin Brias, like the Goatskin worked just fine. Dyed it bone white (since I had some laying around). Not sure if it made any difference. Got the 8 points I was missing before.

Head/Chest/Gloves are ones other people have already listed.
Pants are the "Expeditioner's Pantalettes". I assume the nondyable version of them works the same.
Was hoping the Thav. Gloves would work, but sadly no dice. They are dyed Snow White, so at least there is that, if people are hoping to get more dye info.

This was probably the easiest and cheapest one yet. Got 100 on the first try with Green Beret (undyed), Cotton Doublet Vest of Crafting (undyed), Hempen Halfgloves (dyed jet black), and Lady's Knickers (black).

Unrelated musing, what's with the weird price differences on green vs red berets? They have the same crafting requirements and look identical when dyed, but on my server greens were selling for 3-4k while reds were around 40k. I don't get it.

The Green Beret comes from the glamour quest (the new one they made when they lowered the level requirement) so the market got flooded with them from people that didn't want the quest reward and decided to try to sell it.

I went with a similar approach. Hempen Doublet Vest of Crafting and Cotton Halfgloves, both from the general equipment vendor in Uldah. Cost 772 gil for my 84 points. I actually tried my "normal" combat glamour first, which uses replica high allagan gloves of casting(which are halfgloves) and arachne coullotes of casting(which appear similar to some of these "short shorts"), but those were both 1 star.

Too late now, but if those clues come up again:

- for some reason the "Apprentice's Doublet" is not a valid option for the doublet top (only one star)

- male Elezen starter gloves count as halfgloves and get a gold seal

This weeks challenge is big lie. equipped high allagan pantaloons got 1 star. equipped wedding veil and thavnairian turban which both have veils got 1 star. Demonic gloves got gold. Not very nice when they lie on what theme is. Also got 1 star for sky pirate coat.
