Estimated spending this event for my server:
1. Pure White Dye @ 500k (likely to be ignored)
2. Gryphonskin Breastguard @ 100k-200k (they're at mercy of crafters)/Uraeus Body Armor @ 10k (but limited stock and is rising, once the potd stock is out, they're at mercy of crafters)
3. Star Velvet Gloves @ 500k (currently healing at 500k and casting at 1m, again, mercy of crafters that actually bother getting the items and or having the tomes). Thavnairian Armlets isn't much cheaper and fem only, and Ghost Baroque will need farming.
4. Taffeta Loincloth: 500k and rising, at mercy of crafters and Cloth price. Coliseum Loincloth is 100k and rising.
5. $3 for Egg Ring.

Yeah, it looks like a potentially expensive week on your server. But i have to take issue with "at the mercy of crafters" line. This is what, week 5? week 6? We knew back when this was announced that some of the stuff was going to be advantageous for crafters - its a glamour game and crafters have dozens of recipes that are only useful as glamour. Ignoring the fact that we've had a couple months for people to potentially level some crafting classes to make this easier(cheaper), do you not have any crafter friends or FC member who can make something for you? That gryphon breastguard? Takes 1 hippogryph leather, 1 wool cloth, 1 wool yarn. If anyone i know asks, ill make them one(bringing me the leather and wool would be nice, but those are dirt cheap and easy to get). Theres uraeus skin in a chest in wanderers and available from level 40-45 leves if you need the male version(the uraeus uses boar leather instead of wool cloth, but its otherwise the same). Star velvet is poetics mats, level 60 timed nodes, and a bit of elbow grease(thavy uses common 60 mats and 2 thav silks which are from level 60 maps - a lucky aqua run could net you the mats plus some goodies to sell for much more then this entire week would cost on the MB). Taffeta is cheap aside from the cloth(no easy way to get these that i know - random venture reward). With 3 right items, and close dyes 80 points should be reachable. Do a little of the leg work, and you can probly get it cheaply too. For me, this will be a free week. Ive got 3 of those items in my glamour closet already. A couple cheap dyes and ill be done.

Sidenote: Adding up those prices you quoted... you could probly speed level LTW to 50 for less gil then that, and start making your own breastguards and body armor to sell before the weekend is out to recoup your costs.

True story. A lot of the turnins can be bought at the vendors now, if you have the leves to spend on non-hq (since hq gives double). And if you have the time to farm mats/know any 60+ LTW or WVR, you can have them help you make hq items. I admit that I already have enough gil to fund my levequests, but it really wasn't that expensive for me to buy most of the leve items to get from 25 to 60 for ltw and wvr recently, so I really recommend ppl start doing that, if they're invested in fashion report. Just like I went ahead and got one of my lucis weapons two weeks ago even though I wasn't going to get 100 (don't need it, didn't want to buy the mustache). I'm sure it'll be useful in the future.

I don't like the rng element of the ring (yes, I know I've said that, but it really peeves me), you can't 'work hard to make that up', but... eh. I guess it's something.

I can't see the link because it's in some server blocked by my office's firewall. Do you know what dye is it? If it's a lavender purple then it's 1* undyed. If it's any other purple it's 2* undyed.

If it's 1* undyed, then that's the same with any other gloves.

It's Lavender Purple. Didn't know correct dye actually turns 1* to 3*. Nevermind me then.

In short, best dye adds 3 points.
1* is 2 points.
2+3 = 5.
3* is 5-6 points.

Therefore dyed correctly, total points is on par with 3* and it's rated as such. Helps when we're testing dyes.

No lie, kinda salty on one item being pure RNG. Whatevs, though. Pretty clear that anything goes in "fashion".

Someone in reddit said Chief Bunny Tights with correct dye gives you 4*, I assume it's 3* undyed and you can just dye it snow white~
