Mmhm. Was really hoping this would be a thing that just pulled from reasonably accessible crafts or NPC shops, ARR dungeons at most. Level 60 crafts, HW dungeon accessories and Centurio gear, rare dyes, it's all leaving a pretty sour taste for me.

Same. I missed the Songbird hat event, don't have Falconer or Hannish and the mats are too expensive to justify for the reward. I could try for a Survival Top, but I have other things I'd rather spend 1500 yellow scrips on (I went for Ramie Shirt, but it wasn't enough). Right now I'm stuck at 78 with 1 attempt left and I can't seem to improve on the hat or body. At least, so far. Kinda losing my will to even try. Spent the whole night on it and I've nothing to show for it. If this is what the fashion report is going to be, it's not worth the aggravation or the time.

I'm guessing the non-hinted slots are the key to getting past the 80s and reaching 90-100. A bit more challenging since you have no hints to help you at all (apart from the overall theme) and it comes down only to taste.

Silken should cover any recipe that uses Crawler's Silk if not wrong, so any headwear made from that?

I've found these gives gold without dyes.

Head: Songbird Hat
Chest: ???
Legs: Asuran Hakama of Healing (Very easy to get through HW Elite B mark)
Feet: Artisan's Sandals
Ring: Halonic Ring (can't be dyed anyway)

I might dig around for some dress materials to try for a good leg slot.
I haven't seen any chest piece available for me.
Do have the Songbird hat. And a Vault accessory or two.

All told made up to 60s, but not expecting a good showing.

Wanted to try the Flame Elite Skirt, but not enough Allied Seals (and not strong enough to hunt down A ranks for it).

I do not see myself doing this again, since spending this kind of time and gil on glamour has never been my thing.

yea, thats why i went halonic on all accessories. and just tried something that looked ok for the belt and gloves. could maybe try something better there, but hard to say what more i can do with only 2 chances left.

Looking just at the skirts, there seems to be some interesting (or frustrating) inconsistencies:

It is clearly not just any black skirt, or any skirt dyed black. From the screenshots, a Spring Skirt dyed blue and a Plain Long Skirt dyed Metallic Gold or white both get the same score as a Kudzu Skirt dyed Jet Black: three stars.

Undyed skirts like Asuran Hakama of Casting rate lower than its identical, undyeable counterpart Yasha Hakama of Casting, but can score higher if you use black dye to dye the black skirt blacker? Whereas some people in this thread reported getting a perfect score on the undyeable Yasha Hakama of Healing, which is white.



Without any clear notion of the criteria, is this just going to be a long game of communal trial and error in the future?
