Poverty setup for female characters only which gave me 82 points:

Augmented Shire Casting Hat [Snow White] - Gold
    Ramie Shirt [undyeable] - 3*
Asuran Hakama of Casting [Soot Black] - Gold
Bridesmaid Sandals [Metallic Gold] (Apparently Milliocorn Yellow works too?) - Gold
Ring from Dusk Vigil - Gold

Rest was just my usual accessories, so nothing to write home about (Lost Allagan/Genji stuff). My Dinosaur Leather Gloves were dyed Soot Black too, though I doubt that influenced too much - not that I tried.

Total cost is whatever a Ramie Shirt (or the mats for it) are on your server, though the mats were super cheap on mine; 345 or so Poetics for the hat + augmentation, 85 Centurio Seals for the skirt + augmentation and some gil for the dyes + the Sandals. Then do unsynced Dusk Vigil until you get a ring (first chest drops it) which shouldn't take too long since they're all equippable by any class and you're set.
Make sure each slot has something equipped, too.

Same. I missed the Songbird hat event, don't have Falconer or Hannish and the mats are too expensive to justify for the reward. I could try for a Survival Top, but I have other things I'd rather spend 1500 yellow scrips on (I went for Ramie Shirt, but it wasn't enough). Right now I'm stuck at 78 with 1 attempt left and I can't seem to improve on the hat or body. At least, so far. Kinda losing my will to even try. Spent the whole night on it and I've nothing to show for it. If this is what the fashion report is going to be, it's not worth the aggravation or the time.

Just to clarify...not the first chest...its the first boss chest from Dusk Vigil for the ring.

    Songbird Hat (Undyed) - Gold
Extreme Survivor Shirt (Undyed) - 1 star
Yasha Hakama of Casting (Undyeable) - 4 star
Thavnazia Sandals (Undyed) - 1 star
Ring from Dusk Vigil - Gold
    Total - 69

Songbird Hat (Snow White) - Gold
Extreme Survivor Shirt (Snow White) - 2 star
Yasha Hakama of Casting (Undyeable) - 4 star
Thavnazia Sandals (Cream Yellow) - 2 star
Ring from Dusk Vigil - Gold
    Total - 75

Looks like you get ~50 pts for just wearing something. 1 2-star and rest-1 star = 52 pts for me.
And dye color doesn't appear to matter. Just using a dye bumps equip up 1 star?

Can someone try going completely naked to see how many pts you get?

Silken should cover any recipe that uses Crawler's Silk if not wrong, so any headwear made from that?

I've found these gives gold without dyes.

    Head: Songbird Hat
    Chest: ???
Legs: Asuran Hakama of Healing (Very easy to get through HW Elite B mark)
    Feet: Artisan's Sandals
Ring: Halonic Ring (can't be dyed anyway)

Welp. Not Master-crafty enough for Artisan Sandals.
I might dig around for some dress materials to try for a good leg slot.
I haven't seen any chest piece available for me.
Do have the Songbird hat. And a Vault accessory or two.

All told made up to 60s, but not expecting a good showing.

Wanted to try the Flame Elite Skirt, but not enough Allied Seals (and not strong enough to hunt down A ranks for it).

    I tried...

I only got a 74... so.... I can't get the little lady items, missed out on that.

Windsilk dyed snow white - 2 star
Survival Shirt dyed snow white- 3 star
Plain Long Skirt dyed jet black - gold seal
Spring dress shoes (no dye) - 4 star
Ishgardian's Outrider Ring - gold seal

I do not see myself doing this again, since spending this kind of time and gil on glamour has never been my thing.

So, my FC mates and I are trying to collect data by using our first three tries to do some experiments. If anyone has any free attempts left and you'd like to help, please let me know. We'd need an account of what items you used, the color, and a screen shot of the points screen. For instance, the data we've collected so far:

    - Undyed Weapon Only: Worth 7 Pts. (Used Weathered BLM Staff)
    - Undyed Bridesmaid's Sandals NQ + Weapon (Weathered Arcanist Tome): 4-Star Item (Worth 7 Pts., as score with this and weapon was 14 Pts.)
    - Undyed Bridesmaid's Sandals HQ + Weapon (Weathered Arcanist Tome): 4-Star Item (Worth 7 Pts., as score with this and weapon was 14 Pts.)
    - Dyed Bridesmaid's Sandals (Yellow Color Family - Raisin Brown Dye) + Weapon (Weathered Arcanist Tome): Gold Coin Item (+2 Pts. to Score, Total Score was 16 Pts.)

I can back all of these up with screen shots of the points screen. So with data like this, we can start confirming things about the system, such as that NQ and HQ have no bearing on the points you earn.

Some of the things we'd like to test are:

    - How much of a point difference there is between an undyed item that is a Gold Coin by itself and the Dyed version when dyed a color from the correct color family and a color from an incorrect color family. So as an example of how we'd conduct this experiment, we'd use the Songbird hat (which is gold coin when undyed for both male and female versions) and wear only the hat and the weapon. We'd start with the undyed version of the hat to see how many points you get and then we'd try wearing the hat with it dyed a white color (because white appears to be the "correct" color so far), and then one with the hat dyed a color other than white (so blue or red or something).

    - Does dying a weapon give it a higher point value? People have already used a non-dyeable weapon to find out that they're worth 7 Pts, so someone would simply equip just a dyeable weapon for this experiment and dye it a color that seems to fit with the rest of the "correct" color scheme and then a random other color.

    - What are the point values for non-hinted pieces vs. hinted pieces like? For this one, I'd like to try and equip items in slots that don't have hints and try to see what score undyed pieces get vs. dyed pieces, using the same method above where you test the undyed version of the item, a random colored version, and a version that fits with the supposed "correct" color scheme.
