    Glamour plates macro?

My guess is there aren't any macros for glamour plates yet, unless I'm wrong. (Please throw them my way)

I'd like to be able to swap glamour plates through macros. This would really help to swap between several healer jobs, just by adding "glamour plate 1" to a macro.

    Saw this on Reddit:

There's a workaround to this kinda. They mentioned it in the patch notes:

A parameter has been added to the "/gearset" command to allow glamour plates to be applied when changing gear sets.

    Example:

    /gearset change 1 2

this will change to gear set 1 and apply glamour plate 2.

So you could effectively set it so that each job can "apply a specific glamour plate" whenever you swap (So like glamour plate 1 can be for Summoner, plate 2 can be for Blm.. etc etc.) . Just put these commands on a macro and it should work.

Wow! This alone saved the glamour dresser for me.

It works so much more fluidly now, so useful!

Yeah but the plates keep the look on the gear you use for the job like if you have a look for smn itll stay that way then u can switch jobs and if it has a different glam that glam will still be there it works just like the old glam system except you can glam everything at once the gear is still glammed

Also for anyone who's annoyed at losing their class icon (like I was), you can add /micon # gearset in front, i.e:

    /micon 3 gearset
    /gearset change 3 2

If your 3rd gearset is your MNK, it would add the MNK class icon as the macro icon, and then change you to your monk gearset and add glamourplate 2. I know I used these all the time to switch classes so not having to wait to mouse over names or memorise where they're located helps. (It also works for DOL/DOH.)

Again the plates dont dispell if you switch the gear will retain the look reapplying it wont really do anything but clutter your chat window if you have the system stuff displayed. Its like normal glams except u can apply stuff all at once instead if sitting there for several min doing it one at a time.

Don't use the "save" button (circle) on your screen and you won't 'stamp' anything. I stopped stamping my gear and haven't had an issue since. It's nice for my healers, of which I have 2, and my crafters, which I don't want all in the same Ala Mhigan gear.

If it doesn't work for you, that's fine, but I haven't had an issue with it.

Thats funny bc unless I save the plate layout it wont let me exit the menu without discarding the changes but as i said the plates act just like normal glams theres really no need for a macro plus cant use them in the wilderness anyway
