Unexpected error after the patch

Tried reinstalling, rebooting, still can't get the game to work. I'd really appreciate some help.

This came up after the patch correct? Has there been any change in your PC besides this?

When exactly does this occur? When you login or after you have been playing?

Does this same error occur when you are using DirectX 9 mode?

Hi!
I'm using directX 11 and the problem occured right after the patch. There have been no other changes to my PC. This happens right after logging it.

Just chiming in to say that I'm having this problem as well.

After logging an alt, the issue is happening with me when I'm trying to load into a character located in The Fringes (can't confirm for other Stormblood areas), though I can log into my level 1 ACN absolutely fine.



I'm running Windows 7 x64, and the problem persist on the DirectX 9 and 11 versions.

I had this same issue occur twice today as well. Both times while viewing a cut scene, after being logged in and playing for a bit.

I haven't tried to launch the game in DirectX 9 yet, but I will give it a go tomorrow. There have been no changes made to my PC.

I got the same problem, crafting for Red Scrips, go afk to make breakfast leaving my char at entrance of my house (didn't even move, i teleport to house and leave char there) and nothing else, had 3 crashes in 1 Hour today.



Nothing changed on my PC, including no Windows Updates.

Hello Kivan, Thank you for your response.

Have you tried switching it to Direct X 9 to see if there are any changes? This can be changed on the launcher under Config, simply turn Direct X 11 mode off.

Having the same issue on dx11 and dx9 but only when i try to load into Royal City of Rabanastre. Every other area of the game has been fine.

It seems reinstalling fixed the issue for me for now.

As re-installing the game means downloading the patches again (which, on my internet means not playing for at least another day) I've been trying different things by using a friend's PS4 to log my character in and move them out and around different zones.

The Goblet worked fine.
Kugane worked fine.
Yanxia worked fine for a minute, and the errors came up the moment I began a transition into The Fringes.
