About new MSQ Roulette reward

Just did MSQ Roulette myself—Praetorium.

Wait time: ~10 mins (DPS)
Instance time: ~50 mins (skipping/blowing through things as per usual)
Experience (level 60 job): 274,217 experience for the mobs we did kill; 1,338,681 experience for the Roulette (was not AiN).

My overall opinion? Not worth it. The experience reward doesn’t seem to be anymore than what I used to get running it beforehand.

I think we need to wait a few days or a week before give our opinion on the roulette, at least in terms of queue times. It will gradually get worse i believe

Sounds like a similar reward to Alliance, which is much, much faster. I think levelling's reward is around that ballpark too?

Used to run it before but won't touch it now.

Yeah cutscene skipping sucked for newbies that want the full experience but it was the only way it made the run bearable for me after doing it so many times and to stop me from falling asleep.

To be fair, if the queue times are going to get worse, it’s going to make it less worth it. I already don’t find the experience I received for Praetorium worth it for the time I spent in there, wait times excluded.

It also prevents people from spam clicking through those dialogs and leaving us in the same position as before, people rushing to the detriment of the newbies.
I had concerns over that possibility.


Still, making them solo encounters would have been the better idea.
Though, that would require significantly more time and dev resources to do.
This was the quick and easy fix.

They could have taken care of the problem in other ways though. Can't progress without the new guy, can't kick the new guy just because they wanted to watch the cutscenes, something. They decided to go the cutscenes for everyone, every time, auto play only no matter what route. The choice to not have to watch them, veteran and new player alike, was ripped away entirely.

Adding to this, I received two million approximately on Paladin, which was level 60. About 50,000 extra was awarded for Adventurer in Need. Basically, it's inferior to Alliance and Leveling Roulettes, which are much faster.
