I thought these new tokens you could exchange for WT prizes you earned by completing WT might have been a chance to redeem itself. After all, this is what was said in the patch notes:

Certificates of commendation have been added as rewards for completing Wondrous Tails.

These certificates can be exchanged with Khloe Aliapoh for a number of unique prizes.
"Completing" a book must mean something different to SE since apparently you can only get these certificates for getting 3 lines. Oh, and before anyone gets too excited that maybe these certificates might actually be good or anything, they're not. You can exchange them for the gear that used to be available for the 3-line prizes... gear that's already outdated (oh, and grade V materia but not grade VI unless I missed something, lol). The new i350 5-slot version of crafted gear? That's still locked behind the usual layers of RNG. If that gear was worthwhile for glamours, that might be meaningful, but it's all craftable stuff. You'd do better to take the new i350 piece, sell it, and then buy whatever of the old crafted junk to glamour with and have plenty of gil leftover.

Thing is, I wasn't even really all that concerned on if the 3-line prizes would have been accessible or not. I was thinking more along the lines of the minions and such, and maybe the gear for a large number of certificates... with the ability to earn certificates with a minimum of one line. Something like 15 certificates for a WT minion with 1 for 1-line and 3 for 2-line... something like that. Cut back on the RNG nonsense and give a chance for visible progress for all that grind.

Oh, well. At least SE has managed to provide entertainment in showing how they can spend time developing a feature that doesn't actually do anything that would matter.

I guess I'll go back to ignoring WT for now.
