Did they fix the updater?

Omg i logged in today and every single time there is an update i HAVE to get the update through a torrent, because FFXIV's updater is complete garbage. Today however i started up the updater like normal just to get the magnet link for my torrent file and while i was starting my torrent program up to recieve the file i went back to the updater to see that i have had 6 remote connections (I have never been able to get a remote connection before) and 24 local conections. Has anyone else noticed improvement in the updater as well? did they finally fix it?

The updater has been working better since a few patches ago in my experience. I've found a standard BT client to be faster, but it looks like the official updater will actually finish in a more reasonable amount of time now.

11 remote, 13 local atm, going between 2.5k - 3.5k download, I have 40mb connection and all ports forwarded, I think someone hates me

Utorrent is even worse hovering between 1.2 - 1.9k :'(

Update - 28 remote, 12 local and still the same d/l rate /sigh

You may be having quite a bit more problems if it doesn't even start for you.

I'd say they improved it a while ago since updates finished really fast.

This one is being really slow though. Maybe it's something with my internet... I'll give it some time.

It's even worse for me on this patch than it normally is.....
I'm still downloading almost 2 hours later and only at 21.9% >_>

Not neccesarily. Many people have problems with being stuck at 0kb/s
Sometimes the patcher works fine for me and I get speeds of 800+kb/s. Sometimes I'm stuck with it not doing anything.

Now that many don't log in or quit, your download speed should be fine.
