The new Expanded Inventory View design

If you somehow needed to change this (why though?) then why not just three options? The old ones and a new one that would look like the new expanded inventory?

Honestly why change it and not give people the option to still have it the old way?

SE really likes to change some things to the worse or introduce something as way too complicated..

I actually looked at options a few times trying hard to find a new third options, as soon as I've seen the change, but nope. Unnecessary change in negative without the option to choose.
