Why does the new inventory UI show less items on Expanded than before?

I don't understand why they felt the need to completely remove the expanded and swap it out, they could have simply left the option and granted the option of 2 tables vs 4. Please bring this back, its really annoying to deal with especially when moving things around.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who was annoyed by this. I have my inventory ordered in a particular way and I spent the first hour and a half I was on after launch going through my inventory and retainers.

Additionally, I had to manually merge all multiple stacks together across all of my retainers and inventory. So that didn't help matters any.

And then when I finally finished and gave up on even dealing with the glamour dresser, for now, I ran off to do Ananta Beast Tribe quests to find the servers would be shutting down again within 10 minutes. And 2 hours later when I logged on again, NPCs were invisible everywhere I went even after 3-5 minute loading screens. And I don't have a poor system nor poor internet. It was fine before the emergency maintenance. I finally gave up and logged off for the day.

It was a very frustrating morning.

But it isn't the end of the world even if I don't like it. Maybe they will listen to the feedback. One can only hope.
