Why does the new inventory UI show less items on Expanded than before?

My expanded inventory grid! WHAT HAPPENED? This is the one thing that will drive me up the wall! Was the change necessary? Can we have the full expanded grid back please!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

another question along with the ... "not so" expanded inventory..... why is there 2 KEY ITEM page....

Im a student studying Graphic design. and as a graphic designer, I make things simple and easy to use. In other term... I solve Visual problems so the person viewing it does not have to deal with it and can easily navigate..... This is triggering me so hard.

SE, you -need- to let us at least be able to pick the old inventory layout in the settings; this new one is atrocious. I even registered to the forums to be able to give feedback on this D:

They should just turn all tackles and baits into Key Items, especially now that they've given us a GIGANTIC 225-slot key item inventory.

I'm just disappointed they made it so the "chocobo tacklebox" wasn't even a thing.... since we can't use bait from it directly.

This new inventory is hideous not only do we have an unusable amount of key item spaces but we also cant properly keep track of everything in our bags. Expanded option isnt even really expanded any more. Give us back the old expanded option.

I have to agree, I really do not like this new expanded UI for inventory. It doesn't feel expanded anymore, I'd prefer an option to have the old UI back.

I actually logged into the forums for the first time ever solely to add my support to this thread. This change is absolutely horrible. I was so excited to log in this morning, combine all my material stacks (with all crafters and gatherers at 70 I keep a LOT of materials and was super stoked for the 999 stacks), and ogle my pretty, crazy organized multiple retainers.

All I did was get ticked off. My super anal organized retainers were a MESS of confusion and I still haven't been able to touch them because it just gets under my skin. I haven't even touched the new saddlebags that I was excited for because I can't get motivated to look at the rest of my inventory to decide what I want to keep there.

Added to the OCD part of my organization, now I have to click between a third freaking tab on every single retainer. Yay for more carpal tunnel flare ups just to do one of the most basic things in an MMO.

just to pile on - Expanded Inventory View is worse after 4.2 update.

Please put it back to the way it was. With the way it is now you might was well remove Expanded as it's now almost useless.
