Also still waiting for all the hundreds of new player threads complaining about not being able to complete story that the community insists will happen.
The "ez exp roulette" toy has broken!
Finally every first timer can experience the final book pages of 2.0 in all its glory!
If those do happen, they likely won't be for a few days/weeks when the more casual players, who take months on end to clear sections of the main story, have had the time to play.
Hate to say it, but as waiting for someone to finish watching a cutscene is in the realm of courtesy.. the JP players tend be much more courteous and tolerant than other regions.Pretty sure they'll just assume that we'll stop complaining about this eventually. Anybody have any idea what's being said on the JPN side of things? Players on those servers seem to have a different mindset than we in the West do, so I'm curious if this change will affect them much.
It amazing to me that the msq roulette still the same two after two expansions it clear they moved away from making 8 man msq dungeons cutscenes type content and just need to get rid of msq roulette or add more to it. I can see it now we're in 6.0 and these two msq still the only two roulettes hopefully I'm wrong though....
"Omg! I gotta play some long dungeons to complete a completely optional roulette to help people who are new to the game experience the game when from ARR! How stupid and unfair!!!!!!"
Seriously, this is just whining at its best. If you dont like it, dont run it. But I understand SEs position on it. New players want to experience, much like most of us veteran players did. Robbing new players of that opportunity cause "I wanna speed run this, I dont care about your enjoyment!" is bs. Youre not obligated to run the roulette. So standing there being upset cause you have to spend more time doing a completely optional thing thats more there for new players is selfish as hell. Its not about you. Its about new players and letting htem get the chance to experience the game. If you have better things to do, dont run the roulette. It exists for new players, not you.
The real danger is that people will take that advice and newbies will wait 2 hours to complete it.
Actually, the roulette was added precisely to entice veteran players to run it, because newbies couldn't get groups reliably for it. The roulette's rewards are aimed squarely at us, not new players. It exists for new players, not you.

This MSQ change makes me happy.
The dialogue cannot be advanced by clicking.Even being forced to sit through the cutscenes, veteran players who just want their rewards will just spam click through the cutscenes, move on, and kill a boss while the new players are still watching. New players get left behind again, veterans zerg through everything, all that changes is the window of time one needs to set aside to actually accomplish this. The only way to prevent that from happening would basically be to set the cutscenes to an autoscroll, which the player input doesn't advance.
