That's not what I would call a Final Fantasy storyline.

I want a TRUE main story arc. Not disjointed wall of text quests that are nothing more than mind numbing instance teleporting crap. We don't have to work for anything, and everything is implemented so poorly.

I am giving them the benefit of the doubt now because they have a game to fix, but when 2.0 comes. The patience I have now will no longer be there.

Final Fantasy storylines build upon each other. You can't just see the parts as separate things. We get part of the storyline in Lodestone reports, even.

We don't know where the story is headed, anyway. We don't even know how much it'll be changed for 2.0. So... a disjointed storyline is to be expected.

It's not whining. It's a suggestion, and a slight wake up call. The story in this game sucks, simply put. Final Fantasy XI even in it's most basic form of quest lines is leagues better than this. There are those of us that care about storyline. Why should I care about saving the world, or riding a gobbue if everything is so shallow, quick, and disjointed?

I want this game to succeed, and i'm not going to quit. However as I have paid for this game. I have the right to voice my opinion, whether you or anyone else likes it or not.

Someone TEACHING me how to charm, capture, and train a mount like this would still be seen as a great gift while also adding a bit of content to the game. Insead we get people like you that want every single thing handed to them so they can THEN get back to flaming the game and the people that support it.

And if you had half a brain you would understand the story is disjointed because loltanka made a shit story to begin with. In any case what the hell does shitty story have to do with being gifted a goobbue mount or more engaging content period? You could have a freaking awesome story without engaging content, ever read a book? My guess is no.

If I had half a brain eh? Pretty funny that you resort to insults so quickly. Stop placing blame on Tanaka for everything. The entire team is at fault for what happened. He was the leader of the game that had awesome storylines in a previous game. So don't give me that crap. It would have been a lot better to have helped this NPC with a situation, or at least have had to go out and find our own horns. Having it given to us is boring.

Just because someone did good work in previous games does not excuse him for his BS efforts in this one. You can say whatever you want in the case of Goobbues and how you believe that it should have been more engaging, but in the end a gift is a gift, It's not like you chill by the tree at Christmas and wait for your granny to hand you a present only to have her say "First you gotta go kill 10 ants because they are ruining my garden." Give me a break.

you know, i really don't "care" that we didn't have to "quest" for the goobbue... given the fact that I burnt half my anima getting a chocobo...

needless to say, this was just SE throwing players "a bone" for actually paying for this game... and I don't think that is a bad thing at all...
