“Simply speak...” – Request for more in-depth contents

Greetings, adventurers.

Let me start this Topic by saying that any type of new content is a good thing, so I'm looking forward to the new Goobbue mount... and something tells me I'll hang around on top of my new pet near cliffs in La Noscea, just to listen to the beautiful Chrono Cross-style music.

That said, I read this in the patch notes, like Bayohne anticipated days ago:

The goobbue horn, used to summon the goobbue mount, can be obtained by players level 30 or above. To do so, simply speak with the "wandering minstrel" NPC, who can be found in eastern La Noscea (36,25).

Therefore, my request is: If in the future you plan to give us adventurers other type of mounts or presents like this, can you make it a little more... in-depth and challenging?
Nothing too exaggerated, but at least something that gives an Adventure!

Example of how the Goobbue could have been obtained:


We speak with the Wandering Minstrel, he tells us his story and, in order to give us his Goobbue Horn, a special Goobbue Notorious Monster has to be slain: a party of 4-6 level 30 adventurers would be needed to defeat him, while a level 50 might do it all my himself/herself, although with still a bit of challenge.
After proving our valor in slaying the fiend, the minstrel grants us the horn.
So one day, after the 7th Umbral Era, we'll be able to tell new adventurers of how we got our Goobbue pet and how exciting it was: A story worth to tell!


This is just a plain example to give an idea of my point, something that with a spoon-fed “Simply speak...” cannot be achieved.
Please take this kind of “more depths” to content/quests into consideration for the future, particularly for us living the temporary 7th Umbral Era period.

In the meantime, thank you Yoshida-san and the dev team for this new mount (and Great music ).

Someone TEACHING me how to charm, capture, and train a mount like this would still be seen as a great gift while also adding a bit of content to the game. Insead we get people like you that want every single thing handed to them so they can THEN get back to flaming the game and the people that support it.

Yeah it would have much more fun to have a non-instanced quest to wrangle the beasts ourselves. I was hoping for a more... Avatar-ish mount-getting experience.

Stare down my mount and put it in a freakin' headlock.

I think it would've been awesome if he gave us the horn and we had to go out and charm our own goobbue from one of the high level areas.

This "gift" is no substitute for content - which is what the players want.

The Goobbue itself is no more than a model-swap for the Chocobo. It's mere cosmetic change and a poorly contrived one at that.
