Thing is, SAM is still in a very comfortable spot DPS wise. What became an issue was the devs caving to the rest of the community and at least initially buffing a lot of the other DPS jobs to closer match SAM. But in doing so, you take away what the very purpose of the job was, particularly in the raid scene. But you're right, Hacchan, about the meta. The majority of the player base takes it as an end all, be all. If you're not playing a meta job, it's trash tier, which isn't true. But some don't want to listen, or certain Youtubers and streamers are not fully aware of their influence within the community of taking their opinions as fact where nothing else matters, so if you disagree you're a stupid noob, since this popular person said this is the meta. And so the elitist mentality feeds itself and fewer people get into raiding because of it. And who can blame them, when its shown so blatantly here and on Reddit on a daily basis. A shame, really. Since I find raids extremely fun!
