[Spoilers] Eureka storyline speculation and discussion

So, the general opinion of Eureka is that it looks to take place on the Isle of Val, evidence for this is, the part of the trailer showing Eureka, begins with Krile, the sole survivor of the incident on the Isle of Val, mentioning that she is hoping about something or other (or trying not to hope for something or other)

We also see this structure


Which is reminiscent of the Sharlayan colony in the Hinterlands, especially the dome like structures



We also see the WoL being approached by a robed figure, you might think this could come from the MSQ, but note the lamp



We then see this group surrounding a lamp, which people suspect to be the Dawn Warriors from FFV, one of whom was Galuf Baldesion, who likely died when the incident happened on the island


Of course, these scenes could be from the MSQ, but they're grouped together around Eureka, and all seem to be themed around Sharlayan and the Students of Baldesion.


EDIT: The lamp also looks ornate and has the same colour as the ones seen in Idyllshire/Dravanian Hinterlands


Also, forgot to mention, the Aetheryte in Eureka looks to be of Sharlayan design, an older model than those seen in ARR, closer to 1.0 style ones

A mysterious Xaela in what could be a Sharlayan location, connected with possibly-Galuf and the possibly-Isle of Val?



I recall Yoshida mentioning keeping an eye on this guy's story very shortly before the release of Stormblood. It may just refer to his new dialogue about not wanting to be the khan of the Adarkim, and I'm probably reaching, but I just had the thought.

It is pretty intriguing. To be honest I didn't expect much story with Eureka. I though it would just be a farming zone like diadem. This however has got me pretty interested. It looks like they might have a solid story to it. Shame we still have 4 to 6 weeks or so before we see it though.

Even if it doesn't involve Krile, the rest of it still fits. As far as I know there isn't any other stories taking place in Sharlayan ruins this patch.

I'm pretty sure they have added stuff to patch trailers that don't actually come till the .5 version, so it is most likely Eureka.

The way they've been bringing him up feels like they have something separate planned for him, perhaps a side story quest chain similar to the Scholasticate stuff we got in HW.

I don't think his dialogue actually changes until you've finished the quest from that Adarkim in Reunion who makes an off-handed remark about his brother running away and going into hiding out of fear for his life, since their tribe is apparently extremely cutthroat when it comes to selecting a new khan, with competitors trying to off potential candidates or capturing their family members for ransom. He seems unconnected to Eureka and rather just took (Seemingly) extreme measures to ensure his safety by fleeing to a backwater town on the opposite side of the landmass, starting a new life, and constantly wearing that goofy pig mask as a disguise.

They don't do separate patches for the .X5 patches. Remember Rival Wings was in the 4.1 trailer. A look a the the plants shows that the zone areas show clearly are similar to the Eureka concept art.
