Are you consdering, or have withdrew auto rewenal/ sub due to the 4.2 patch notes?

Just wondering how many are going "I had enough" when it comes to overcharging us for inventory while they do not not address anything, like giving us a pre alpha glam system.

For those that do not know, the big notes from the patch notes is how the added glam system handles dyes poorly, you need to destroy gear to make more room in the tiny 200 space, going back to HW days in making pld useless and war op, and finally the ability to rent a 9th retainer.

I really find it insulting to be offered almost zero fixes for inventory issues and glam issues and yet we get a 9th retainer to rent. Doesn't this look really shady to people? How come we have not got free ones yet if they need more time to fix things? I am simply amazed, this is the second expansion and things are not fixed.

Only good update coming out of 4.2 is housing, something that could been done with the release of HW.

200 free space is a decent size to start and you also get an extra 70 slots from chocobo saddlebag and can stack items up to 999 which will open up more room

But will the FC chest allow stacks of 999? That's the question on my mind.

it is not 200 free spots, it is heavily restricted how you can use those items for glam, you have to use them though plates and your stuck with the dye on the plate.

I do admit though I am confused on the chocobo saddlebag, I never bothered with having one because I never saw the point. Can you access it in town? craft from it? craft in your house?

70 spots is still tiny compared with the amount of items you deal with at any rate.

No, I'm just never going to use the glamour plates. It seems like an utter waste of time with how it's currently implemented.

"Overcharging" inventory would imply that the current default inventory has its own monthly cost and now they're adding extra fees to it. Give blame where its due. Optional retainers are just that, optional. We could be given thousand slots of inventory with a complete organizational system and the complaint against retainers would still exist. One can think the extra retainers is shady practice but then you'd have to remember that there are people who actually like the system or at the very least give the impression they do (like that one person during a fanfest Pre-SB who requested to have more retainers). Pick the battles that really do matter, like the default inventory system, because cash shop services are a lost cause.

As for the glam system, that's another case of YMMV. Some people like myself simply view it as a start that has potential for future improvements. Other people see it as system that should've come with all the things other glam logs in other mmorpgs already have. And then you have others who don't care too much and are just glad that their tank classes are going to have individual looks.

My understanding is that the chocobo saddlebag will act sort of like retainer inventory that goes where you go. You can access it from wherever you want, with or without the chocobo summoned, but you can't use the items directly from it. You have to take the items out of it first, then you can use it, but taking items out of a portable retainer doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. In fact, as something of a crafter, that sounds awesome to me. 999 stacks of items + a portable retainer? Sign me up for most of the current crafting items whenever I need them.

Listen. I get it. This game is not for everyone. I personally love it but I know a guy from my University days who can't bring himself to play anything beside wow. You have been here like two months and all you did was talk about how much you hate the game and the devs and everything. If you want to leave, just leave. You don't have to survey the community to see if you are the only one or not. For the record I love the new patch. Even the Main Scenario Roulette Changes. The speedrun hysteria has gotten out of hand. As for the inventory: All the changes are improvements so I really don't see your problem. Then again, I never did.

I just don’t get people who claim that they are cancelling sub/quitting just because of some patch notes, and have yet to experience the new changes themselves.

To these individuals, I only have the following to offer: “Good riddance, and watch the door on your way out.”
