By the Twelve, I hope you never read this. I’m not exactly the best with words, and I would be beyond embarrassed to have you read anything I put on parchment. However, I know I’m better off putting my feelings into words. I don’t expect that the words will be all that meaningful since I’m really better at rambling than putting a sentence together into cohesive thought. I’ll do my best, but really I’m already failing.
I’ve admired you from the moment we met. I’ve seen the way you lead your people. Not through fear faceless loyalty, but with an accepting nature that draws them to you. They don’t follow you because they must, but because they want to. You lead by example, working alongside those who would follow you rather than give direction from a distance. You have welcomed into your inner circle those that others would have shunned.
Beyond admiring your leadership, I can’t help but be drawn to simple conversation with you. Though there have been rare chances to talk about much of anything besides the dire straits we find ourselves in from one day to the next. Still, I’m enchanted by the way you manage to keep levity despite circumstances and, from a more superficial standpoint, the very sound and cadence of your voice.
Of course, there are a lot of superficial reasons to be attracted to you, but I was trying to not to be so shallow. Your easy smile and bright eyes, the way you hold yourself with poise and grace.
I’ll stop here since I feel like I’m starting to ramble and I would hate to make you suffer through that. Thank you for tolerating this, and for your constant inspiration.

My dear X'rhun Tia,

As I write this, I'm currently on a ship en route to the east. I dare not say more though. But that tidbit isn't why I'm writing. My reason is, well, because I miss you.

That's really all it is, I miss you a lot. I'm sitting here surrounded by an endless sea of blue, and all I can think of is how the sky is the same color as your eyes. And just like every time that I rush off on an adventure, I wonder if it'll be the last time I see you, If you'll still be there when I get back. I'm sick of just leaving everything up in the air.

I adore you. I may be a keeper of the moon, but you bring sunshine to my life. You've always treated me as an equal, and not as some errand girl, like everyone else seems to do. Being the warrior of light is tiring, but those few moments I get with you rejuvenate me. Your smile, the sound of your voice, even the way your tail swishes, tiny things like these make me feel at peace. When I'm with you, I can just forget about my destiny and my duty. I can just be me, a girl whose heart has been stolen away by a roguishly handsome swordsman.

I'm not sure when I'll return, but until I do, I'll carry you in my heart as I strive to liberate your home.
