How long it has been since I’ve seen your face. Forever and day since we parted and yet here you are, a hairsbreadth from my heart. Gods fall from the heavens, kingdoms sundered and remade and I am bereft. Unmoved. Without you.

Would that I could lay down my title. My acclaim. I would forsake all for the touch of your hand. The warmth of your regard. But I know you still burn with loathing. The ash of my letters attests to that.

I was a fool then, and still am I suppose but not even the Champion of Hydaelyn can defeat the stirrings of the heart. And twine they do for you, Waldeve. My Dark Star. Shadow to my light.

Though your eyes smolder with rage, pray commit these words, if not to heart, then to your mind. I would not see you rot in this gaol. I know what you have done, but it matters little. They will give me this, and for the smallest slivers of gratitude I would give to you all that I am.
