how I have yearned for you in these last days before our homecoming. I am well aware neither of us can be spared from our duties in our separate countries, but, I cannot help but hope for our reunion to come just a little bit earlier. I long for your warm embrace and gentle touch, voice the kindest timber one can imagine - there is not a part of you I do not love with all my being. I pray you find yourself well in these tiring times, and remember that my heart always yearns for yours. it is always thinking of you, no matter the hour. I know you are with me as well, always, and I ne'er doubt your steadfast devotion to both kin and country - and me. it sounds selfish, I know, but I cannot help but confess I find myself wanting you all to myself some days, when the wind blows harsh and cold and the rain thrashes against my window relentlessly. they are sad, sorrowful days, but when my thoughts are filled with you, they are no longer. the skies turn blue and the air stills, and my breath is taken away. you are truly the most magnificent being I have the honor of loving.
