I know not what has brought these feelings to light, but since our meeting, I cannot seem to get you out of my mind. Whether it be the fact you succeeded in extracting the soul from my body, or just how dashing you made a lab coat look, one cannot be sure. The only thing that I am sure of is that I cannot deny that something about you made an impact on my... heart, or my soul. I cannot be sure which. You definitely gained my attention, however. In that aspect, you certainly had success.

I am a woman that can definitely appreciate science and the things you were able to create. The experiments you had done, they were positively mind blowing. Others may have feared them, been disgusted by them, but I? I admired them in a way. Such challenges they had brought me, challenges I had never faced before. And they were challenges that never could have come to light if not for your pure genius. If only I had not been forced to end your life... I feel you and I could have had plenty of experiments of our own, if you catch my drift.

Aulus mal Asina, you may never have been able to record your findings, but good man, I shall record them for you. Perhaps, I may even work to continue this work in my own way. I cannot say this is a letter of love for Valentione's is not just of love. We remember those...that are dear, that have struggled. And I understand your struggle.

I've not forgotten the battle fought across the bridge. The anger that pierced through the heavens in sorrow, in suffering. The suffering of your love of your dear sister Ratatoskr.

Ishgardians scorn your name and yet I cannot. I cannot scorn suffering for what has happened. I have seen the past and I saw your plight. Unfair in the greed of man but now you have been released. You have been free. Even then...I do not remember much of the dragon within me, they too who cries out for their brood mother as you did your sister.

I know your suffering has finally be freed. You have reunited with your sister but always remember that even in the darkest hour, forgiveness from your kind can be given. That I cannot scorn your name nor another. That deep within...you still are loved. That if seen past your struggle that you truly had loved and wanted your pain to cease.

Our meeting perhaps lacked the weight to become a common recollection for you, but it was a constant companion to me when repose permitted musing. If either of us held to such notions of fancy, I would thank the red of Limsa for coloring fate's string that entwined our journeys. Ah, a jest!

... Even now, courage fails me and I am only able to disclose in allusion. Of all uncertainties and terrors faced, e'er has my resolve been brought to naught at mere speculation of a me without you, and that is thrust upon me.
