I get that when new players are in, it was annoying to have the cutscenes skipped and just left there thinking "what happened" as this big ass movie played out and the dungeon was just done. It have happened to me, and it sucked.
having unskippable cutscenes and big rewards is a good move, and makes sense. People are still incentivized to do it and new players get the experience of two really awful 8-man dungeons as a product of their time lol.
My only real issue comes from when there's 8 people that que'd for the roulette, only to be put into the same instance when none of them are new. In that case, wouldn't it make sense to just let them skip? They've all seen it, and there's no new players to defend.
The issue then would be probably people leaving, or bullying new players for making them watch the movie they signed up for. In which case the best way to handle that is to make the rewards you get for helping first timers for those two specific instances be increased in rewards from the typical instance. This seems like a good idea and only serves to make MSQ roulette more enjoyable.
Or they could, you know, just rework those dungeons already. That also works.
