To continue your analogy, if you were stuck in an unpleasant job, and you have all of the means and the capabilities to get a better one, then why stay in the crappy job and continue to bitch about it?
You obviously have made a judgement that the crap that you go through at said crappy job is "worth it"

It doesn't matter if it's a job or not. You don't lose the privilege to complain about something just because you participate in it. In fact, the people who do participate are almost always the most qualified to complain, since they're most likely to know what the problems are.
