Within this dynamic - a dynamic that SE has fostered ever since ARR - the length of these dungeons is a significant problem. Speaking personally, I also find the cutscenes very irritating after the third or fourth time.
I'm in the same boat as Baingoleth in that I still enjoy running both Praetorium and CM with all the cutscenes. I've run CM hundreds of times when I was farming darklight gear back at 2.0 launch and still enjoy watching the scenes every time. The more relaxed atmosphere and people joking around is one of the other reasons I enjoy doing MSQ on an almost daily basis now.

I don't find speed running fun and honestly don't understand the mentality behind always having to do it, I'm more than capable of keeping with speed runs, I just don't enjoy it. I play this game to relax and unwind after a long day, I want to take the time to enjoy the game... not rush through everything as fast as possible so I can log off earlier.

Fair points. I haven't found it all that enjoyable personally, but there have been some more memorable runs. Though I will say it's harder to find them these days, because the content is so over-geared; if SE had set the iLevel cap lower, low enough to where people can't completely screw around, I'd actually be more inclined to queue, because the content would be more interesting. But if it's going to be an utter faceroll, I'd personally rather it be a fast faceroll.

As to the speed running, I agree with you there wholeheartedly. But that's what happens when content is easy and highly repetitive: speed becomes the emphasis. This is the approach SE has long fostered, however, for FFXIV (in stark contrast to FFXI, might I add). And it makes issues like these MSQ cutscenes far more problematic than they should be.
