So you haven't tried it except once since it was changed but you're sure it's longer. Interesting take...
I will not touch the MSQ roulette as the tomes isn't worth it nor is the exp for the time it takes to sit through it, and on that note am sure am not alone and the queues are probably long now I haven't tried since the one time after the patch came and saw how the exp was pretty much the same and half the party went afk during cutscenes to watch Netflix which made it even longer.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
I just run Labyrinth of Ancients now if I really want Poetics. The wait time is less and goes by really quick. Only downside is it has a higher chance of failure on some bosses where as MSQ you're guaranteed to succeed on every fight.
Labryinth of the Mechanics are for Cars? Haven’t had a wipe in there since mid-HW. Hell the Atomos trash has been more responsible for wipes than any of the bosses in my experience.![]()
I love the alliance roulette, and I get Labyrinth A LOT. There are full-alliance wipes fairly often :X It's one of those places that you absolutely-should-not-wipe as we are vastly overgeared, and the fights are seared into memories - but people get lazy. The alliance chat after a wipe is always good fun.
I’m lucky then. Since 4.0 I’ve had one wipe each on first and last boss of WoD and that’s been it from the ARR alliance raids as far as wipes go. LotA and ST have been absolute faceroll, with the former being especially so since they changed it to only require 3 tanks.I love the alliance roulette, and I get Labyrinth A LOT. Back to the actual topic: I still haven’t touched MS roulette since the patch. I end up having to go out of my way to piss away the poetics I get from other roulettes + hunts.
You are either lying, or lose track of time easy. Some people care about efficiency, and how their time is spent. It is clear you do not. That is fine, but do not go acting like everyone shouldn't care how their time is spent.Perhaps you didnt read what I said. I ran it with different classes. Let me broaden my comment. I went as a Warrior, a Bard an as an Astrologian. The Queue times were the same for me as they were before when I leveled my other main's classes to 70(i have 18 level 70's if you don't count both arcanist jobs for each). I've leveled ALOT over the last 3 years.
Chill it with the doom and gloom. Most predictions in life that are that way, will prove to be false. I can promise you that.
If you are playing for 3 years and do not have everything at 70 by now, it is clear you are not in this for efficiency, again that is ok, but you shouldn't be speaking like everyone has your mindset. (for the record I also know people that been playing less then 3 years and has everything at 70, all DoW, DoM, DoL, DoH) Also the queue times do prove my point, more people care about efficiency then those that do not, thus high queue times for dps.
Development should not be making changes that give players no choice like this, making thee SC unskippable is a huge joke. (it is even a bigger joke of a change when you have no control over the speed in undersized/premade and in the inn, also confuses me why all the white knights for this change do not comment on these issues)
Also let us not forget an important part of one of my posts:
"It started with more then 30 min wait with a ticket number of 16, 30 mins later it went down to 6"
So this shows how many people are really queueing for it. This was not happening before the change. If you call me "doom and gloom" I am going to cal you blind, blind to the effect this is having.

I ended up doing MSQ about 5 times since the change. I came to the conclusion that I'm done with it. :X About half the queues were with a tank friend - so I had some fast, some slow queue times (was leveling BLM).
While I can definitely appreciate a slow/easy run (this is why I love me some Alliance!), I just can't hang with MSQ roulette anymore. The last time I ran, there was a sprout tank who started cussing at the group over one of the "standard" Prae pulls. lol. In my mind, it was just the moment of "I'm already stuck watching these damn CSs for sprouts, and now we're getting cussed at by one, I'm DONE!". (It was an emotional response vs. logical one - I really don't blame sprouts for the change at all.)
I think I gave it a decent shot. :X Unless they add the newest tomes or bump up the XP gain even more, I don't think I'll be running it again for my own needs.
I do think people are leaving out "toxic" new players as well, as I said before I had groups where 1 new player and 1 or 2 friends where trying to hold the group hostage and not click though the CS. It was very rare and I do not think the frequency of people wanting to watch the CS and doing acts like that warranted a change outside trying to inform new players on making pfs/running with friends if they wanted to take their time though them.I ended up doing MSQ about 5 times since the change. But ya I am confused why the general tone is catering to new players when some are the problem causers.
There is currently a post on reddit of some people that have mapped out the longest scenes in Prae, and made a map of all the scenes to show how to shave off 20 mins of a run using the DC method.
Now. They encourage people to only do it in the case that the full party is past msq. But who wants to bet people are going to be using this method and still leaving newbies behind?
Either way. SE. Why do we have to find ways to brake your game for you to make worthwhile changes to it.
After admitting the failure of these two dungeons, nothing is done, except for inconvenience a good percentage of the player base that was causing no issue, and take away any choice we had in how we wish to progress the story at this part of the game...
I'm not disappointed in the player base, I'm disappointed in SE, and I hope these dungeons continue to inconvenience them until they stop the lazy approach.
Revert the changes, or make some actual quality changes to Prae and CM.
Especially if we wanna do them unsynced or in premade groups :/
You already know when they increase the rewards people will start dcing more often. Get in a party of 5 dc during certain cutscenes to save 20 minutes and again new players will still be left behind and you can't kick the premade. The problem won't be solved by increasing rewards.
I really want to see what they do after they increase the rewards, I am almost certain the roulette will see a few more changes. I am curious to see how Square will react once they start noticing this behaviour with premades.
