This is possibly the worst option they could have gone for.
Out of interest - has anyone ever timed the cut scenes? Do we know how long in total these instances are going to take now?

Praetorium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wuXdb7OaoY
Castrum Meridianum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EllMC0Y7CRY
Though individual reading speeds do apply and these videos are only the cutscenes. Average time from a quick glance at youtube without cutscene skips from a fairly quick reader are one hour plus and thirty-forty minutes respectively. This is compared to the near fifteen it takes to complete either now with skips.

Ah - thanks.Praetorium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wuXdb7OaoY

The funny thing is I consider the 10 minutes of cut scenes in Castrum unreasonable. 30+ mins for Praetorium?! A world of no.

Castrum:
With the gear available back then it took almost 50 mins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wukHyO-p8A
With current gear (i130 sync + direct hit stat) probably 30-35 mins assuming people are reading them, less if they are spam clicking.
Praetorium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8UvLTUP8BY the run ends at 1 hour 3 minutes, with current gear I'm gonna say 45 mins if reading everything.
Note these cutscenes don't auto advance so slow readers will take longer.

MrHappy actually got a rare cut scene watch group back when he was doing his Healer Happy let's play series. Subtracting the idle chatter at the beginning of his video, it took roughly 35 minutes for Castrum.

I mean that doesn't sound too unreasonable for an instance run, especially with new players – it's just the 10 minutes of what is essentially downtime for everyone who isn't doing their first run. Prae on the other hand is just asking too much for people who just want to actively run content.MrHappy actually got a rare cut scene watch group back when he was doing his Healer Happy let's play series. Considering I can run Doma Castle upwards of three times depending on the group. Why would I touch MSQ Roulette unless I get an equivalent amount of EXP? I sincerely doubt SE increases it to 9M. So... rip new players, unfortunately.I mean that doesn't sound too unreasonable for an instance run, especially with new players – it's just the 10 minutes of what is essentially downtime for everyone who isn't doing their first run. Oh, good lord no. The amount of people leaving will be... something to see. Can't say I wouldn't be tempted to just eat the penalty if I got Prae. It would actually take longer to run it now than to sit out for thirty minutes and try again.Unfortunately, we all know the queue for DPS is going to be horrendous through the DF. Someone on reddit that the backlash from vets and new players complaining about ridiculously long queues will convince the devs to put those two dungeons in the leveling roulette.
I absolutely shudder at the thought.

Fair point –*I only have SAM to level now so non of this really effects me but it does seem a very short-sighted move on the part of the developers.
Which is a shame because I never had an issue running MSQ and getting either of them – it was a beneficial situation for everyone.
