if you que as dps its pretty 2-2,5 hours of run. If we assume the que will be ~30+mins

I mean that doesn't sound too unreasonable for an instance run, especially with new players – it's just the 10 minutes of what is essentially downtime for everyone who isn't doing their first run. Prae on the other hand is just asking too much for people who just want to actively run content.MrHappy actually got a rare cut scene watch group back when he was doing his Healer Happy let's play series. Subtracting the idle chatter at the beginning of his video, it took roughly 35 minutes for Castrum.
Unfortunately, we all know the queue for DPS is going to be horrendous through the DF. Someone on reddit that the backlash from vets and new players complaining about ridiculously long queues will convince the devs to put those two dungeons in the leveling roulette.
I absolutely shudder at the thought.

Eh doesn’t really effect me, I normally take my friends though this unsync so randoms don’t make them feel forced to skip cut scenes.

Well, it's a good thing they added the Alliance Roulette because the exp from that will have to make up for the fact that I'm never queueing for the MSQ roulette ever again. I've only got two more jobs to level before I'm done needing even that. I don't have the time for cutscene runs every day even if the rewards were worth it (they aren't). 80 more tomes is laughable when I'm capped 75% of the time anyway.

As a software developer myself, I understand that SE did not want to spend resources touching old content. Changing it to a solo instance is a very good idea but it would require quite a lot of work, much more than what they have done which is, basically, change a "false" for a "true", or a "0" for a "1".
However I think it will punish heavily the new players with extremely long queues. And once they are in, maybe some of them have not had the chance to upgrade their gear properly which, if you consider everything, could convert it into a real nightmare especially if there are not many veteran players in the party.
Before the change I queued occasionally. After it I know I will not queue ever again for it.
