Look- why don't they just have you watch the cut scene right when you queue? Like I have anything better to do during those 15-20 minutes!

I recently leveled an alt, and can say the queues are not an issue at all after they made the change. I never run MSQ roulette personally, however enough still do for the devs to change things again currently.

This change is typical SE band-aid fixing 2.0 content instead of actually fixing the issue.
for me they should just make people who already finish the instance will received more rewards than the 1st timer, this way we have some compensation for the unskipable cutscene
I don't know if this has been said already in the thread (too many pages to read) but Square Enix and Yoshi-P should consider to create an algorithm as a good fix that would check if possible at the start of the mission if people have or not already cleared the dungeon :
- If all the people who are running the MSQ Roulette have already cleared the dungeon make possible to skip the cutscenes for all members of the party.
- if at least one people hasn't cleared the dungeon make impossible for all the members of the party to skip the cutscenes.
Can't believe they didn't think about this already when thinking about making unskippable cutscenes for improve the experience of the new players...
People would just abandon if there's a new player in that case.I don't know if this has been said already in the thread (too many pages to read) but Square Enix and Yoshi-P should consider to create an algorithm as a good fix that would check if possible at the start of the mission if people have or not already cleared the dungeon :

Negating tge reasons for the change entirely.

They would be more likely to kick the person that's new. It's not all that hard to pinpoint the one that's ~lvl50 with only one class/job in comparison to all those with high level, gear exceeding what's accessible at that point in main story quest etc.
Make it so if there's a new player you get huge increases in bonus (especially in Praetorium). Or simply make the new person unkickable for that instance. But that is the most sensible of suggestions, if there are no new players just make cutscenes skippable.
Just wanted to say that I've been playing for neary five years, and this "skip & rewatch in inn" has been an issue since MSQ trials existed pretty much. I was told the same thing way back when. XDWe all know that newbies who want to watch story cutscenes in the castrums have been struggling a long time, usually being answered with "just rewatch it at the inn/ on youtube." I myself have experienced this, and a majority of current players also probably have. But...

I would be in support of making it a Command Mission-type thing (but not an actual Command Mission as you can't get that high at that point, nor should you need to).
Put 7 NPCs in there that act mostly like a raid does, and make tweaks that make the dungeon more friendly to such, and allow the player to run THIS mode if they want to "see the story".
Then, you could have the Roulette Version have skippable cutscenes. If a newbie wants the cutscenes, they'll run the 7 NPC version and enjoy the cutscenes all they like.
ALTERNATIVELY, put two versions in the Roulette:
Castrum Meridianum (Story) --enhanced rewards, unskippable cutscenes
Castrum Meridianum (Normal) --normal rewards, skippable cutscenes
And make the enhanced rewards be something like greatly enhanced XP gains (1.5x Leveling Roulette?) and 1.5x Poetics, along with 10-20k gil. Heck, add a cracked cluster to the Lv70 Adventurer in Need bonus too while we're at it.
Now, make the Roulette that you can run one OR the other in any given day but not both.
The Newbie can choose which one they want to run, because it'd be listed like this under specific dungeons, maybe with a help popup explaining the difference between the two. If they care about the lore and the cutscenes, they can wait out the queue on the Story version. If they just wanna get it done and watch the cutscenes (nor not even care about the cutscenes at all) they can Q for the normal version and get a group faster.
