I fact, it would be SO satisfying to beat the wack out of Gaius with Thancred, Y'shtola, Papalymo and Yda.. Why not add Raubhan, Kan-E-Sanna and Merlwyb..They could, exclusively for those main scenario duties with a cut scene lock, implement some trusts, and nerf the trash mobs and remove the roulette.
Would make it more immersive for the newbies, and not feel underwhelming when they finally get to the conclusion of ARR and everything is just being burnt within seconds.
I'm new to the game. I always wanted to play it but economic reasons of my country did not let me.Frankly, I love these new changes. It serves people right for just speeding through the dungeons and ruining the experience for the new players. Just the other day, my free company and I queued up with a total of seven people, and our eighth was a new player. We granted him the full experience instead of just speeding through, and he was having the time of his life.
Maybe people should learn to be more selfless instead of griping about changes that their own actions basically forced.
I'm so SO thankful that the MSQ dungeons don't have skippable cutscenes, I loved the immersion the game offered and I had a great time.
I've now ran them around 30 times and well, it does get annoying but I simply do something else meanwhile, like studying.
So my vote goes to just keeping them this way
They could consider it, and of course obviously reduce the completion rewards accordingly

if the reward getting nerfed, pretty sure no one will bother with it at all, for now, already player consider only prae worth of to do since it give about same xp as running dungeon and stress free and they just reroll until they get it, for 45 minute of prae we will get about 70~75 of our HP bar, while at level 70+ running a dungeon 3 times will give you a full level, each run will take about 15~20 minutes depend on the party
How about: If everyone in the party has seen the cutscenes, don't play them.
If possible, place first runners in the same group and show the scenes.
If not, and any player in a group hasn't seen them yet, then everyone has to sit through them again. (With no option to drop group.)

Add in if everyones seen the cut scenes and skip them they dont get the high end rewardHow about: If everyone in the party has seen the cutscenes, don't play them.
If possible, place first runners in the same group and show the scenes.

"Sometimes I wonder I heal for fun. or if I heal because I'm a glutton for punishment."

So about a month ago I hit this point in the story quest where it was time for the MSQ roulette 2 duties. Normally I ask my free company friends to join me for any new dungeons or the daily leveling roulette and they gladly join me. However when I asked for these in particular it was like I had asked them to sign over their souls to me to be cast into hell for the night. They turned me down for once and after doing them I understood.
I am an avid fan of most all FF content and have played most of their other games so this is not a putdown of their masterful use of music and story writing. However, as someone who is a speed-reader and likes to be efficient with his time the pacing of these are abysmal when compared to the way they allow you to control the rate you watch most other cut scenes. I would love to run these to get tomestones for gearing/cosmetics but the super long que times and then the 45 minute run time makes it pretty hard to accomplish at times.
I'm asking for some solution to be put into action by the developers as I have seen how well they manage other aspects of the game and I know they could do it. There are plenty of great ideas in this forum.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to earn poetics without running these specific instances, so don't feel like you need to do it for that. Start unlocking the various optional dungeons and you'll get poetics from those, a bonus for first-time completion, and access to another daily roulette. And the Crystal Tower alliance raids are another roulette again.

I support this 100%. Our FC always tries to get a group together for these dungeons but I really feel for people using the roulette.
My first run of Castrum was via DF and made memorable by a blazing row between another new player who told everyone they had to wait while they watched the cutscenes and a player who resented being spoken to like that and having their time wasted. The two were hurling abuse at each other for the entire run. The party did wait (thanks guys) but I couldn't enjoy the cutscenes with all that drama going on in chat. I have never been so glad to get out of an instance.
Solo with npc helpers would be so much better for everyone. Now, alt characters and new players who aren't interested in the story are going to have to sit through the cutscenes, too. And what about those times when nobody in the roulette is new?
80 extra poetics doesn't seem enough of an incentive. I really can't see many experienced players queuing for this regularly when the rewards are so paltry.

Making it unskippable for everyone is a dumb, dumb move. Not even all the new players will want to see these cutscenes. Forcing it upon them is not the answer.
What they SHOULD be doing instead is, upon unlocking these dungeons, warn the player that the two dungeons are very story-driven with long cutscenes (much like how the game warns us at the end of 2.55 and such that a long cutscene is about to commence) and encourage use of the Party Finder to find like-minded people that will actually let them watch the cutscenes and not just bum rush the entire dungeon, to give them a more authentic experience (and even teach how to use the Undersized Duty option, if necessary, such that you don't NEED to get a full group of 8).
They really don't emphasize use of the Party Finder enough, and IMO this would be a perfect opportunity to teach players of its existence and what it could be useful for. Instead though, it's being squandered with bad adjustment decisions![]()
