You went out of your way to bring the exactly data that would fit your narrative so no, don't pretend it was some accident or something. As for your AST example it doesn't fit BLM's case at all, BLM is not just bad on prog...I agree, more data is needed though I doubt it will change much due to fflogs fixing a bug that didn't account for thunder ticks in combination with the mch nerfs, blm buffs. And sorry I linked that page I assumed whoever clicked on it would have the capacity to dig around the site themselves. Also, there were fewer than 10 AST/SCH comps that cleared first week, one of which was my own, does that make AST bad? No it's just worse in prog.
I mean, everywhere you click on that dataset fits my narrative LOL. If you're talking about speed running all classes but 8 will be excluded, does that mean you can't do amazing on those that are? No it doesn't.
https://www.fflogs.com/statistics/21...set=80&boss=55 - 4 clears super good right?
https://www.fflogs.com/statistics/21...set=80&boss=52 - 80 dps more than Monk (if the tanks spam their first damage combo skill during Brotherhood it will probably make up for this ridiculously low difference).
https://www.fflogs.com/statistics/21...set=80&boss=51 - 32 dps more than the much more mobile class that also have access to combat Res and raid dps increase, that is Summoner (so again we are losing on raid dps on the 80th percentile you proposed yourself).
https://www.fflogs.com/statistics/21...set=80&boss=53 - A fight we are actually doing well, because differently from you I don't go picking logs that only fit my narrative.
So exactly how do the logs fits your narrative again?
Except my "narrative" was a comparison of blm to the 4th party slot, mch. Your third link was of phantom train, which has pad-able adds. Smn, adds, do the math; then compare and contrast with its standings vs blm in other fights.

MNK ad SMN are also competing for the 4th spot, so rest assured if your dear MCH loses their raid spot it is not going to be to a BLM.
My point was that BLM brings incredible personal dps, which makes up for it's lack of utility. If you'd like to argue how it's untrue and that overall raid dps for picking anything else is higher, the difference is so small it's irrelevant. People are treating meta picks as if they make you do 50% more damage. The difference isn't drastic and what's more important is being GOOD at your job.
"Biased image" lmao I just searched for o5s logs. Anyway we're only at the start of week 2 so of course there aren't many parses of BLM on god kefka, people would rather take safer picks like RDM due to the low ilv gear.
Also stop acting as if raid buffs make SUCH A DRAMATIC DIFFERENCE, it's nice to have, but it's not enough to nullify a job. Point is, BLM does high damage and has low utility because of that, AND THAT'S FINE, THE DRAWBACK WON'T MAKE A CLEAR TAKE 1 MINUTE. Y'all so damn dramatic
1 minute longer*

Not gonna lie, I'm happy about the SMN nerfs. Ruin III didn't need it, sure, but it doesn't hurt. However, they definitely needed the nerf on Tri-Bind & Painflare. I've pulled 10k sustained dps on massive pulls because of that and back to back cooldown usage. Wyrm Wave's burst warrants the nerf, but I'd honestly rather see them fix how it functions instead. Don't allow it to proc on oGCDs, and adjust the damage accordingly. That's it.

Mechanics are Aesthetics. Graphics don't make interesting gameplay.
You are wrong and the statistics from the Raid DPS app prove that the personal DPS for BLM does not make up for its lack of utility. Go check out Blackcat's raiddps app.My point was that BLM brings incredible personal dps, which makes up for it's lack of utility.
